Remembering
« on: September 06, 2009, 06:46:35 pm »
Hello every one, for the last few days I haven't been myself and today Zhou asked me what was bothering meand so I told her that I was remembering a friend who had givin up his life along with a lot of other people to save maybe a couple hundred people, then she asked me who was this person, I told her he was my friend for 22 years, he was a husband and a father but that he died doing what he loved doing, flying a plane, you see he was the copilot of flight # 93 and he was flying on 9/11, yes the plane that the people that were on that flight crashed thier flight rather then let the terrorist crash it into something else and maybe kill hundreds of people, so I will honor them and remember my friend, this still hurts but he was a very good friend.
A great man once stated in a speach back in 1865 and these were his words
"in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. ... The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. ... It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- "
Goodby my friend, you are surely missed.
I hope we can all remember what every one that had died or that had tryed to help did that day.
May God watch over them and protect thier souls, May they rest in peace.
TIME IS THE TELLER OF ALL TRUTHS AND THE HEALER OF ALL HURTS

Amen Michael...

I am at this moment sitting watching 'phone calls from the tower.'  It is saddening to think that so many people died that day, through other peoples beliefs...There were so many that also went into the towers, with no other thought than to try and 'save' others, without thinking of their own safety...

I am not an American, but I did 'feel' for those who died, and especially for those who were left behind to 'pick' up the pieces (no pun intended) of their and families life's.  My heart will (and still does) go out to those left behind from that fateful day on 9/11, and although I am not religious I will say a prayer...

May God grant them peace...

Most of the World has heard about "The day of Infamy".....referring to Pearl Harbour in WW2.

Never before in History, or again in the Future will the Civilised World forget that "Other Day of Infamy"....9/11

On that day, thousands of innocents were murdered in the name of an archaic and evil religion...mindlessly, brutally and senslessly.

We must never forget that some people have the courage to put their own death above this sickening massacre.....they sacrificed themselves for the greater good.

"No Man has greater love, than to lay down his life for a friend"

Always we must remember and honour them.......they represent all that is good in the World

I also will pray for those that lost their Life's , maybe just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time or as they helped other's so they could be save . As I myself seen these very Tower's being build from the ground up and see them come down from the other side of the Country Live on TV , it broke my heart .. knowing how many People work in those two Tower's . Deep down , I'm still a New Yorker and alway's will be , as this was the place that had welcomed me into this Country . It took an Act of Coward's , to show us ... how many hero's , people that give their own Life to safe other's we have in this Country . That is what makes me be proud to be an American ... first most ! Chinese second !
God bless all their Soul's and their grieving Family's , with the Anniversary of that awful Event coming up .

Michael,
Those two fields are actually not that far away from each other.  Peace be unto you brother.

I read earlier something about New Yorkers and how they brag about being a NY'rs even though they don't live there anymore. I didn't respond it would have taken to much time and telling someone with deaf ears isn't my way of doing it. I still consider myself a New Yorker. It was a unique way of growing up.

I was in the city when the first time they bombed the towers and went to a large party with people that worked there. All night long there were reports of who got out. I lost contact with these people and the cops and firemen I knew because I moved away. But my buddy emailed me the 9 funerals he went to the first week after the towers were down.

For New Yorkers it's personal. You knew someone that was there.
