Whichever system you use, make sure you have set ARCHIVING to ON.
In NZ, entry to this country on the basis of a relationship involves dealing with disbelieving beligerant low level civil servants, mostly not borne in NZ, whose sole function in life is to find as many ways of saying NO as possible, and whose decisions cannot be appealed.  It is appalling to me that my taxes pay these people.

Simply being married is not enough - if you are interested, see

Beijing - Making an application based on a relationship DOC

Hence the need for ongoing and complete HIGH quality documentation. Set the archive preference ON :icon_biggrin:

Thanks David. Do immigration authorities accept electronic communications? I've saved some of MSN/QQ chats. I've also been posting my lady loads of things and I have told her to keep everything! We've also got lots of photos and I guess we'll meet several times before we apply for a visa for her.

Hi Brett
Mileage varies from country to country, but I archive AND backup the archive of ALL my electronic communications, plus switch on the date and time stamp on ALL pictures taken.
I've found it to be a bit like being in a court case where I'm facing an actively hostile prosecutor.
So, without plugging in to confrontation, I give them no wiggle room whatsoever. I think this is what they mean by High Quality documentation.
Bearing in mind that people $mugglers will get up to every trick in the book - see my other post on fingerprint transplants- I can understand the need for vigilance.
But being treated as guilty until you can prove your innocence runs counter to our much vaunted democratic traditions   :(

David K, you're like me. Are you sure we're not related? :)
I'm very careful about archiving everything. I have email going back 12 years saved.

Heck NO!!!

But then again, I really do not intend to look for another woman.  Peggy is the perfect match.  I think!  Won't really know until I get there.
