cant get back to chat?

I made one post on chat down the bottom then went for a looksy around and came back to chat and there is no chat box to type into?

In the general, there is no way for me to even chat.  I can see and read but not post.  There is no radio button or anything to use to post.

In the main screen just type in the box and hit the return button when you are done, otherwise launch the full feature chat window at chat ..oh and try not to get lost in a private chat room talking to yourself and making silly noises like Chong did (chuckles!!).
