Income
« on: November 14, 2009, 09:58:42 pm »
Despite what people say, income matters in a relationship. When we put down our income on the site, does the local agency/translator see the value or the lady? If so, I wonder how much our incomes come into play for the ladies/translators/agencies.

The reason I'm asking is this. I make a good income, not great, just good here in Canada. I straddle two of the income ranges on the site depending on how you calculate income. (Eg. my company does a 5% RRSP matching -- does that count or not). With my raise this week I got , my income would definitely be in the higher range.

My question is, which range should I put? The higher or the lower range? To be honest I should put the higher range. But one part of me thinks that if I put the lower range, I'll get less woman after me for money.

I have always left it as it is set at the lowest level possible.  If they wanted me it was for me and not my money!!!!

And in my time in China it has not hampered the number of ladies I have met.  Possibly increased the options.

Maybe they just think 'poor thing - he is so poor he will accept my divorced status'  :fi_lone_ranger:

Funny? I don't remember putting ANY amount down, and I wouldn't. Never never never do I put any amount of income anywhere esp. on the net. I refuse.

I haven't put anything in. At this point it isn't anyones business.  There has not been any lack of cupid messages.

But then you get a lot more attention if you put your income down as millionaire status and that your 85 years old!!

Willy,

Who needs that kind of attention. All those young gold diggers looking to marry and the stop your heart with incredible sex. :dodgy:

Of course there is something to be said about the incredible sex. Maybe I should change my picture to an old man with a cane. Hmmm... :icon_cool:

Its not an exact amount you put in. There are several income ranges in a drop down box that you choose. Check your profile.

I went to my profile to have a look, Here's what I had on income.

Current Income:    Prefer Not to Say

I knew it. I never put an income. One of the reasons are posted above. Gold diggers. I can get them local, don't need to go to China for them.

I have a friend that puts all lies in his profiles (other sites, I won't let him on Chnlove). His estate on the ocean is a two bedroom house on a canal. He puts a photo that is about 35 years old (he says he's 40 but pushing 60) bla bla bla all he gets are scammers. Russian girls, escorts etc.

I wonder if they get an idea of your income if you don't put one down from your current job and education.

I guess what I'm trying to do is avoid the gold diggers. I know its hard to totally avoid them, but how do I avoid most of them?

This is coming from PoF (which I gave up on) where I've been tons of woman who wanted me to take care of them financially (surprisingly most are single parents). There's also the scammers who wanted me to Western Union them the money.

From about 1996 on I started with the online personals. Talking with some that used there jobs to check mens credit? and other ways of making sure they will be taken care of. I even moved to a different State thinking maybe it will be better choosing? It's worse. It's a gold diggers paradise here. From models to pigs. At least on Chnlove when I started there they didn't have so many looking just for money and of all the women I contacted none ever asked for a penny.

But the other sites? it's a game. Some men fall for it and they do send money? They count on it. Some that joined in the game later play old stories that have been exhausted already.

I had asked my lady in a question "what do you what to do when you get here?" "Work or stay at home?" She said "Work" she wants to get a job to help for the home. Later on the phone she questioned the income she would have getting a job here. So it wasn't just an tell him what he wants to hear thing. She was thinking of how to pay off the marriage fee. But that's another story.

I still check out sites from time to time just to see what's going on. But I see the gold diggers have expanded to everywhere. You just have to become smarter and watch and read what is going on before your caught up in it.

I checked out PoF.  The first woman to contact me is from my work. I'm not stupid though. I used a different name and put up Vince's picture.  Vince she really wants to meet you. She is 4' 11" wide, not quite as tall.  :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

No really I didn't do that but I didn't put the picture up because of that very reason. I've had a few laughs so far.

RegnisTheGreat,

Weighing all the pros and cons, be honest is the best advice I think I can give.
