I must agree with you Ed . The thing is here I only know an outdoor racetrack for Go-Cart's . Just have to wait for better weather . But , this is exactly how they taught us in School . Set up a test area on School ground's . I remember , that was also a lot of Fun when about 12 or 13 years old .

Well , after fighting a bad Cold and Cough all week long .. we did make it out off the House today . After getting my Hair cut and the Car washed , we set out to see my Lawyer to let him know .. Qing's Green Card
( which is Beige ) and S.S. card arrived . The only problem , the Green Card read Qing Zhu and without my last Name . So the good thing is , the Consulate in Guangzhou made the mistake not ME . What does that mean ? I don't have to Pay $ 380 for a name change . Second , my Lawyer noticed that the Green Card was only good for two years ( a restricted Card as he called it ) . That means , more Paperwork in two years and a lot more Money to dish out for both the Lawyer and the Government , in the tune off some $ 1,100 now and in two years he say's the price will be much more for sure . Ahhh...alway's love great news like this .
The way to get around this Fee ( which there is ) , marry your Lady in China and don't File paper's for her to come to your Country till after the two years are up ... then they bypass that Fee and Paperwork . It's nice to save some Dough ... but what the Heck ... wait for your Wife two year's on top of everything else ? What a screwed-up Policy they run . It again as alway's , just about Money . I'm surprised the second Green card is good for ten years , why not do it every two year's ? While they are sucking you out of your money ... why stop now ?

Anyway , we did not let this ruin our day together . We drove to Bel-Air and I told Qing , I buy you some of the great Perlier product's made with natural Honey ( Lotions , Soaps , Bath Gels ect. ) which do come with a Beverly Hills price tag . This is the only place one can find them .. locally . I know the internet has them , but I need them now .. not next week . After that I took her to Santa Monica Pier and Beach for the most of the afternnon , which included riding on the big new Ferris-wheel with the Sun just about to set . Talk about ROMANTIC ? I told her ,  on a clear and sunny day .. one can see all the way to Shanghai and see the Pearl Tower from the top of the Wheel .
So ... what was left to do after this ? We gone and found a place right next to the Asian Market that serves Shanghai Noodles and Dumpling's . YES ... really . After stuffing both our Faces , we got to do some Marketing ( the Happy Market ) . Talk about somebody having a great day ? NO ... we both did and it feels so good ... to see my Sweetheart SMILE and be Happy and Loving every minute of it .

Oh , not to forget ... for my Cough , she went into a chinese Herbal Store and got some Stuff and some Sugar Stones and A few Asian Pear's and is making something out of that ... that will help my Cough . How sweet is that ? I don't know ... that's why I'm asking ? Haha

Arnold What Qing is making will work real good.My wife has given it to me a couple of times. When I was sick. After the first one I told my wife no sugar. It was way to sweet for me.

I don't know of any way around the temporary green card.Like you said it is just to suck more money out of you.And yes when I filed for my wifes permanet green card it was 1,000 dollars and some change. They get you comming and going with this visa stuff. And the green cards.

Hey just a little triva for you.Did you know that after you and your wife did all that work. For her to get the visa. The border patrol officer that stamped your wifes visa.If he thought something was funny or suspicios. That he could of denide Qing entry into the United states.I didn't tell you this before.Because I didn't want to scare you.Plus that I have never heard of anybody from China being denide access to the United States. When they have a visa. The only one Ive ever heard of getting turned back at the border. Were some people from the middle east. And south America. So I wasn't to worried for you and Qing.

Maxx , I did not know this . But , Qing's Passport had the correction made already . She noticed it right away and got it done before I ever got there . So , I think .. there was no chance for anything bad happening at arriving at LAX .
This is , I hope some helpful news for other's later .
Thanks Maxx .

Arnold buddy I think you misunderstood me.Or I didn't write it clear enough. If the border control agent had a hard on that day for Asians.He/she could of denide access to Qing just because she is traveling on a visa.

I had my lawyers number punched in on my cell phone speed dial.Just incase they gave my wife any grief. They didn't but I was a little concerned at the time.

Arnold,

Today coming back from Larnaca, and while stopped at traffic lights, i saw Qings Double, walk across the road in front of me, ....and i do mean double. From her actual looks, hair style to her build and the type of clothes that she wears...... I was so taken back i was hooted for not getting going when the lights changed ...hahaha!!

You'll have to ask, if she has any relatives staying over here, or have any family mature students studying in Cyprus...lol!!! (though what they study over here i have no idea ...lol!!)
I've noticed quite a few Chinese over here the last couple of years, Lucy says's there mainly students or on work experience...

But i can assure you, Qing has a double over here, if i'd seen her on the street i would have spoken to her, ( well, got Lucy to do the talking anyway) and found out the SP on her, see if she came from Shanghai or not ....haha!!!

David.....

Ahhh ha ... she was gone for a couple of day's and now I know where she's been .

David , I'm not surprised . Don't they say , everybody has a double in the World somewhere ? One of our Customer's ones said , I had a Professor in Chicago at the Universary that looked exactly like me .
Qing has nobody related in that part of the World ... sorry and her Dad was never near there . Haha

So , a little up-date from our Trip to La Quinta ( near Palm Springs ) for the Christmas Holiday with my In-laws . First we booked a very nice Suite near the Freeway for one night , where we had to get off anyway , to go to my Sister in-law's house for the get-together . We checked in and then changed our Clothes for the 6pm gathering . Qing got to meet two of my late Wife's Sister's and Husband's and the only Brother she had and their Families of course . This was very nice for both of us , as Qing was warmly welcome into this part of the Family with open Arms and loving Heart's . I myself had never any doubt it would be otherwise , as I have alway's taking very good care of Nancy for all of the 30 year's . They wanted to see me happy and with a Wife again , as one could tell by the way they all excepted the way we have met over the Internet . Anyway , we had a wonderful Dinner and talk to all the Family present ... til almost midnight . After a good night sleep ( yes we did sleep some ) , we all met again for a big Brunch at the same ( my Sister in-laws ) house . It was my turn this time to bring a Fruit tray , for which I bought all kinds of Fruit the day before and all the Knife's and Board's to go to work the next morning , as I wanted it to be fresh Fruit , not a Tray put together day's before at a Store .
After filling us up with some great Egg dish and mexican Pasole and Tamales we all drove west to Moreno Valley ( except my Brother in-law , who lives in Arizona ) to Visit my Mother and Father in-law on our way back home . Qing was of course excepted the same there and we spend a wonderful afternoon there also .
From there it was about a hour and a half drive back to our Home . But we did encounter a bad multiple Car accident on Highway 138 which closed both sides of the Road . Two Helicopter's had to land , picking up the injured . It was an awful sight to see and especially on Christmas day . So all the Traffic had to do some OFF-Roading to get around it and back on the Highway . As it was dark by now and I did not want to come Home and cook Dinner , I ask Qing what she would like to Eat ? After deciding and getting to Restaurant Row ... guess what ? All was closed , but El Torito . But the line was out the Door , so home we went and heated up left-over's for Dinner . Ahhhh , was not too bad . I think because we were pretty tired from the long drive . That was true , we both slept till 11am this morning . I needed it bad , as I'm finally getting over that nagging Cough of mine . These Chinese Herb's and Qing's love ...really do work very well together , I must say .
As most Photo's were taken by my Brother in-law with a pro Camera , I do not have any ... but a few . I will show my Fruit Tray , which I was very proud of .. to say the least .

I imagine Qing would have been nervous to meet them.  Afraid of being compared and coming up short.  How did she feel?  I am glad the family welcomed her that says a lot about them.  Anyway good work. Arnold.  Thanks.
