Ted,

Sorry to hear about the yahoo woes.  I sure hope it doesn't mean what I think it might mean.  No talk tonight.

Hi Ted,

I don't have a yahoo mail account but I can read the news no problem. Sometimes if I have a problem logging on to a page I use this proxy site http://www.ninjacloak.com/  just put the site you want to contact in the box at the bottom of the page and away you go. Hope this helps.

Hi Ted,

It might not have anything to do with Yahoo.  I'm assuming you're using IE.  Try this...  (** WARNING, you will lose any saved passwords when you do this**)

1) Type about:blank in your IE address bar
2) Click on TOOLS -> INTERNET OPTIONS
3) Click on DELETE
4) Select all the check boxes except "Preserve favourites website data" (May not exist) and click apply.
5) Go toYahoo and try again.

It sounds like you have a corrupted cookie or html file...that should fix it.

There is a problem with Yahoo mail in China.

I have not been able to get onto it for close to 18 hours now.

I hope that it is just a temporary block here as all my emails were centred on it.

I have had to go through hotmail now and I was able to get my yahoo mail rerouted to hotmail before it went compleyerly kaput

This problem is on my PC and my laptaop.

I tried the ninja cloak this morning but it does not help.

I found out that YaHoo were doing an upgrade of their system and my ISP are teamed up with them so they also upgraded their part at the same time.  If I had checked my folders instead of speeding so  uch tim,e on this forum then I probably I would have seen the warning that it was going to happen.

Ted,

I had my wife send me an email, now. She had no problems with this! Her email is @yahoo.cn. I do not know if your is the same, but at least yahoo mail is working!

Shaun, QQ is working great!!!  LOL :icon_cheesygrin:

Jim

Jim,

She does not use QQ.  I think we might be to the point of texting each other because of the ability to respond quicker.

Maybe a coincidence but after the problems I had with Yahoo and in particular my ISP bt.yahoo yesterday then I find today that my PC will not boot up.   Lucky I have my laptop which is a complete match for the PC so can run my business.     Goes through to the problem page - I click on start normally it tries and evetually comes back to the problem page I click on last 'known good configuration' it tries to start and cuts out and tries to start again.  Looks like i will need to get someone in to fix it.

Willy (hope your reading this :icon_biggrin:) Guess your on windows, open it in safe mode (tap the F8 button while startup). If that works you might be able to find the problem from there. If not (still won't startup?) it could be the hard drive, especially if it's a Dell. Cheap/Bad Drives. Or try a startup disk?
