Can a person use a Canadian or US eye prescription to buy glasses in China? They are really expensive in Canada.

Well I must admit...The day I went for my 'Interview' when I got back to the bus station, the taxi driver told me 25 RMB and I told him that I had got a taxi there that morning and it only cost me 12RMB..Suffice to say, he agreed to take me for that price

Maxx,

Yes they can do an eye test there, but if he already has a bona fide lens prescription from Canada/USA, he only needs to pick out the frame(s) he wants his prescription fitted too. Done that myself on occassion... The measurement used in eye tests is universal so no problem....

If he doesn't have a prescription yet, then best save his money and have that done in China too, it'll save him even more money ...hahaha!!

Is everyone overlooking a good Chinese woman?  Maybe someone has already said that.

I mean consider if you married another American woman. (Insert your own country)  What happens if you get a divorce again?  Besides Chinese women are so much more beautiful and their accent speaking English is so cute.  It melts me like butter. I am having so much more fun than I ever did being married to an American woman.  And yes I do believe there are good American women, just few and far between.

in GZ you just pay the price on the meter. and during busy times and you
are stuck in traffic the meter does move here during the time waiting so
keep that in mind. i took a taxi once that cost me 30 rmb and when i took
it again with heavy traffic it was 36 rmb when i arrived. just fyi
