Agency "blind dates", your experience?
« on: January 21, 2010, 06:49:52 am »
Hi guys,

After my recent failed experience in SZ, the translator involved in this attempt is providing me with a few profiles of ladies to which he showed my basics and who would like to meet me. From the little info I have so far, I would not mind meeting 2 of them, although it does seem kind of strange to do so with so little knowledge about them.

How did that kind of thing go for you if you've experienced it? I read a few report of such events on here but those meetings always took place after a severe disappointment, and I think recent emotional distress would be a reason for these blind dates to fail quickly.

I'm recovered so I'll be open, ... but how does that go, what do you look for? Just chemistry?

Cheers,
Frank

Well Frank

I probably had more 'blind dates' than most.  Well they had to be blind to want to meet up with me!!!  or VERY VERY desperate.  I was meeting two new women a week at least.  Some I did meet myself others came via the agency.

Mine were not after a severe disappointment - my short term break up was probably a relief.   I think the agency pimped me so many woman as they were claiming introduction fees from each that I had a date with.  I do not know how much they had to pay but for some of them I would have willingly paid as they were certainly worth it.

In the end I did get involved short term with one and I did like her a lot but her love of herself was greater than her love for me - not something that suited me so in the end none got further than a few nights here and there - but everyone was interesting in there own way.

Problem was the only chemistry in any of the relationships was mainly provided by Pfizers.   But I did have one Hell of a three months!!!!

you know Frank even through emf's and some web cams it is
all like a blind date until you actually meet them and see how
they are live. and i am sure the same goes for us with them.
the only real solution is real time together. give it a shot you
have nothing to lose and you might actually enjoy one of them

Go for it, it's only going to cost you a dinner and a couple of hours of your time, I got set up on one last Sunday, the Friday before I had been out drinking (a lot) with the new boss and a few of her colleagues, there were 3 women there & 2 tried to come onto me but I was too blind drunk to do or remember much, anyhow I mentioned to her the next day that I quite liked her friend, she got all excited and I thought.....great, I got a call on Sunday morning asking if I would like to go out with her (the boss) her boyfriend and this girl so obviously I said yes, they picked me up about 2 hours later and there in the back seat was a ..................FAT GIRL who I had completely forgotten was even there the Friday before hahaha, I spent all night giving her American boyfriend the daggers as he knew what was happening...............Bastard.

Well I will go for it of course, what have I got to lose? My agenda is so loose for this trip I might be spending the whole time posting on this forum, don't blame me for flooding. And when I meet them, what do I do? I won't have that much time to spend with them if there is chemistry (other than Pfitzer's) between us, I mean with one of them of course. Then we start writing to each other for 6 months and get married?

But I'll check those "blind" dates out for sure, one of them sounds good on paper and is really cute, the second one too although less my type! Or am I? My best friend invited me to a party and intends to present tons of single girls to me ... mostly French, all under 30, so wait and see. But he doesn't get how desirable a Chinese woman can be, and I don't mean physically although there they qualify too of course, but it seems to be hard for him to understand. I'll go to the party because I haven't seen him for a while, but I'll still be on the place to Hong Kong. :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Frank,

i think you will be pleasantly surprised with the
blind dates here in China. worst case scenario
if you come to Guangzhou we could go to a
couple of places here and you will have a lot
of ladies to choose from to talk with and get
to know. seems to be good places to meet
ladies if you are looking. i am always with my
wife when i go there but see it and see a lot
of chinese men trying but failing to get to talk
with them.

I heard it in French and not just once, maybe my translation is a little miserable but the idea is there ... could be European, after all aren't most Aussie's the descendants of former European criminals? :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin: Actually British I think right?
