Has the Saudi Arabian wages, lives in the British house, with Sweden handset, wears the Swiss wristwatch, marries the South Korean woman, wraps the Japanese two milks, makes Thai **, drives the German passenger vehicle, rides the American airplane, drinks the French red wine, eats the Australian seafood, pulls out the Cuban snow

Wow what was it translating four different languages at a time? Was it trying to translate a letter for you? With a translation like that at the very least there would be no room for misunderstanding since it makes no sense at all.
Does it matter to the bird if an apple is Red or Green? Or does the bird just care that the apple is sweet.

This is supposed to be some sort of humor. Here is the translation elizi sent me.

Take Saudi Arabia wages, live in the UK house, with the Swedish mobile phone, wearing a Swiss watch, married Korean women, pack Japanese mistresses, doing Thailand **, open the German car, sitting U.S. aircraft, drinking French wine and eating seafood in Australia, smoking Cuban Snow

Tip: If you use Firefox get the addon: Quick Translator
Just highlight the text you want to translate and up it pops

... that is if you didn't know about it already of course ... if you did ignore this post ... :icon_confused:

Thanks Martin for the correct translation.  I used the Bable Fish translator at Altavista.com.  Looks like the translator
was not far off, of what was written.  It seems to get the main text across.  It wasn't  ment to be a joke, I was just
checking how accurate the translator was.  I am sure there are other translators that are better and perhaps easier to use.

Most of the free on-line translators use babel fish, as their Base program, even Google!!!
You need to remember there are two or more versions of Babel fish, the free one and the premium one's that comes with a subscription....

Ok, if Bable is trash, (honestly I don't know, but I would like to find a good one) what is a good translator?

I use this website because beyond the actual translation, it lists all the characters and gives all the possible meanings they can have.  If I'm unsure what the meaning really is, I can usually discern the actual meaning.  I'm almost positive it uses Google as it's back-end translation.

I like Google, especially since it puts the pinyin in. But I have to say that none of the translators are particularly good, and they are horribly bad at getting tenses right. Learning Chinese is helping a lot though, as I am finding a lot of tricks of getting much better translations.

Actually what I'd really love is a translator for my Windows Mobile phone. I've already got a dictionary, but it would be nice to be able to translate whole sentences.
