Ok, since this has been brought up several times and with Vince's latest post, I thought I'd post how to do re-sizing with Picasa (assuming you use Picasa)
1) Locate the image you want to export and make sure it's highlighted;
2) Click on FILE - EXPORT TO FOLDER;
3) Under "Image Size" select the size you want to export to (640 or 720 are both good resolutions);
4) Click on EXPORT and wait a few moments;
5) Go to "MY DOCUMENTS" -> "MY PICTURES" -> "PICASA" and locate your folder;
6) Check the photos. They should be the right size to post to the forum at this point.
If anyone has any specific requests for other programs, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Ok, one more... Windows Paint...
1) Open the image in Windows Paint
2) Click on IMAGE -> STRETCH/SKEW (CTRL-W)
3) Select the percentage you want to reduce the image to (this is a bit of a challenge as different pize photos should be reduce different sizes, but if you put the percentage down to 10-20%, that should be good enough) and click OK
4) Click on FILE -> SAVE AS (unless you want to overwrite your original images... not a good idea) and pick a name and location to save as.
5) Go to where you saved the file and check it out.
This is a more difficult method of doing things, but if that's all you have...
