How about Baoding? Anybody been here? It's quite near to Beijing.

Josh went there before I think, he would be the man to ask about Baoding.

Brett, I was able to spend 4 days in Baoding while I was there visiting Xu Le.  While I was there I saw many beautiful women and no westerners, so I think there is a lot of untapped potential in Baoding.  I was unable to get away on my own while I was there, so I can't tell you how the women react to westerners.  The must see for me was the Lotus gardens they were beautiful.  And if you go dont forget to pick up your Baoding balls.  If you really want the low down on Baoding there is only one man to talk to here.  Paul Todd, he is actually living there with his wife now.  So I am sure he has a lot more insight than I about the daily life and women in Baoding.

... I've found a very tall divorced Sichuan lady. I've said before that the Sichuan lady is the lovely lady, but my goodness she is hot. I will make sure she loves the short man! ...

Sorry Brett, but I'm taken...:icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Brett,

quit basing your search on cities. everywere and every city has an abundance of
beautiful ladies waiting for someone to treat them with respect and try to build
a lifelong relationship. and the beauty of china is in every area you might be in.
so just find one who you can grow with and develop a relationship with and not
worry about the city. but keep in mind if your looking for eye candy all the time
then you will be burnt if your say late 40 or early 50 and looking for a lady who
is early 20  then your chances of getting had are a real good probability

The only thing to look at cities as being preferential, are those close to international access ...like those close to HK or those cities served by international flights from your home country. ....Nothing to do with the ladies whatsoever!!!  lol!!!

Beihai lady sounds quite nice - has anyone ever been there aside from Ken (who seems to have disappeared ).

Brett I was in Beihai for a couple of weeks in November 2008. Had good time but it did not work for me and the "Lady". Did you have any specific questions or what? The lady I went to see spoke very little english so we had to use an interperator and that was a bust. All he wanted to do was to eat in all the good places. He was a hungry guy and could put away some food believe me.

Willy,

You gave me a idea with what I can do if I move to China.  I've got it made and the experience.

Thanks Chad. I'm not sure about Beihai lady, she sounds lovely but I think moving from Beihai to the UK is going to be way too big a step for her. I'm not sure I could live there either, the climate is pretty fierce.

Actually I'm not sure about any lady now (see my Hubei thread).

Ted - I've tried searching on many different criteria as a way of unearthing lady profiles I haven't seen before!

Willy - I love those bicycle delivery guys - no load is too big. I'll consider him when I next move house.

Brett,

a great area is guangdong province,
loaded with women and the area has
everything you would want or care to
have as it is a gateway here in China
also loaded with westerners and the
food is great as it has the best of both
cultures along with terrific year round
weather

Thanks Ted.

I am off on holiday to Tokyo for most of April - that'll give me a chance to think about what I want to do next, not to mention the chance to see beautiful ladies wearing stockings, garters, maid outfits and all kinds of other outlandish gear in the street :icon_cheesygrin:.

I've talked to ex-lady a bit more. That Guangzhou Daniel agency, well suffice to say I think they're conning women just like all the other Chinese agencies seem to be doing. They're refusing to talk to me. Miss Wu's bill was massive, although she might have got carried away with the 0's :dodgy:! How can Chinese agencies get away with charging more than UK ones, and for a lot less work?

I did find a list of good agencies, but even these had customers with bad experiences. So I'll assume they're all rubbish, then be pleasantly surprised when they're not.

I have no idea what ex-lady is up to, but I suspect her expectations of a man are way too high. Perhaps if a woman expects nothing of a man, then she will find happiness.

I would be interested if you find a Guangdong lady who would like to talk to me. Suffice to say I think she would have to move here. I don't like this China/Google business at all (Google is a big source of income for me), so I will be staying here for a while.

I have also looked into the Thai wife option. There are some excellent Western run agencies in Thailand that will find you a wife for around $3000, and that includes a wedding and after sales support (so to speak!) I've never been to Thailand but what I do know is that the Thai cleaner in work is always smiling - I could get used to that :icon_cheesygrin:. ~15% of Thais are of Chinese origin, so this might be an easier option, plus the beaches are better :icon_cool:.
