Agency fees, commisions, hidden costs

But it is a buyers market so they say.  You get what you pay for and she got me for free!!!!!!!!!

I paid 3,000 rmb or about $439.00 USD to agency P508, Shenzhen Oriental Love Consulting co. Ltd. Jinxiang had signed a contract or an agreement with them.  We did not pay this, until we received or Jinxiang received her visa.  It is all about face with your lady and the agency she used.  I know this sounds ridiculous in some contries, but in China, do as the Chinese do.  I thought the amount was reasonable, and am glad not 10 times that amount or some of the rumored horror amounts I have read in other posts.

Like Okie, I was also with the same agency, and had the same fee.  It was not a marriage fee, but rather an introduction fee.  I paid the fee not long after we got married.  Compared to many others who have much much higher fees, I thought this was reasonable, for having introduced us to each other.

Jinxiang and I are very satisfied with agency P508, Shenzhen Oriental Love Consulting co. Ltd. When I was in Shenzhen November 2009, the agency had an evening  party for us.  The owner Ms. Ding, and co owner or ? Mr. Yuan along with many of the translators attended.  All of the translators took turns asking me questions.  Most of the agency translators were female.  We really had fun evening.  We were later featured as a success story in Chnlove.  There are no other fees to pay with the P508 agency, just the one time fee of 3,000 rmb.
