Recently returned from China ... had interview at Guangzhou on March 23.... at interview, we received blue. Jinxiang passed the interview ... but the consulate did not believe that Jinxiang's daughter was her daughter ... so we received blue. There excuse for our denile captioned below: ... and they wanted:
"Photos of the principal applicant with his or her child(or children) from infancy until now. Identify all persons appearing the photo as well as the time and location where it was taken"
.... sounds simple ... well not so simple, for Jinxiang did not have any photos ... to send ... so on or about March 28, we sent photos of her children to the consulate.... older photos of her children, but Jinxiang was not in the photos with them... we sent recent photos of Jinxiang her her children, that I had taken on my visits to China ....
Now about the first week in April, family members found 2 photographs with Jinxiang and her children, that she was also photographed with them .... so on or about the 2nd week in April, we forwarded the photos that the family members had found(Jinxiand was not aware of their existance)..... April 27, day before I left for the USA ... we received 2nd denile(stating that "biological relationship(s) has not been established") .... the consulate, stated that we could submit a DNA test from one of their accreditated test facilities(AABB: American Association of Blood Banks), all but 2 were in the USA ... not any in China..... on Wed. May 5 ... I traveled to Oklahoma City, which had one of their approved DNA test facilities.... paid $750.00 for the test... which they were supposed to forward to Guangzhou .... the next day....(but they didn't)...(so glad they were lazy)... for on Sat, May 8, I received a text message from Jinxiang, that she received another letter from Guangzhou, and she was approved... or got the "Pink" ... I guess the 2nd set of photos were reconsidered by Guangzhou and they approved us!!!!! ... I called the DNA test facility this morning (Monday) and they gave me a complete refund$$!!!:icon_cheesygrin:
Apparently in China, the Consualte, may not recgonize the "Legal" "Family Book, Birth Certificate, and Divorce Decree" but "ol family photos" will do the trick:huh:
I would suggest, that if your fiancee, is bringing a child/dependent with her to the USA, at the interview, maybe bring some family photographs of her with her children, just in case:fi_lone_ranger:
