seems that visas will be tough to get later this year in September/October. All sort of anniversaries of events which China is cautious about.

They normallyu give me a 1 year muliple entry (brit passport) but this time they only gav me a 6 month 2 entry seems nect month it will be a 3 month 2 entry and then only soingle entry until the end of the year,

I'm going to the embassy tomorrow, (was closed last week for May day holiday), and will again be applying for a one year visa and no doubt again being refused one!!
Maybe they will surprise me this time :D
Anyone wanna make a bet?

I got an e mail from VisaRite that says my Visa was approved and being shipped.  Now lets see what it was approved for.  I will have it on Monday.

In Fed Ex today I got my Passport, one year multi entrance Visa with a duration of 90 days each time.  I am a happy camper now.

I was given the incorrect information, the first Visa I got was a multiple entry Visa good for one year. The first company I used told me wrong or they did not look at my Visa when I asked them the question.  I was going on the wrong assumption.  I would have had to update my Visa anyway as the year would have expired when I was there but I lost 3 months by doing it this early.  Live and learn.   The updated one did give me 90 days instead of 60 though.  You would think I should know after all of the traveling I have done.  But when I did it for work the company handled all of that for me.  I just signed my name.  They sent everything off and paid for it.  All I did was put it in my pocket and show it when asked. I had too many other things to worry about then.

I am a Dutch national, residing in Australia.

I was told that because I had not been to China before, I would only get a multiple visa for six months. Next time I would get a multiple visa for 12 months.

So I have one for 6 months.

Applied in April, at Melbourne, VIC.

Went to Chinese Embassy Visa Dept to day in London, UK and they would only give me a 2 entry visa with max 60 days stay per visit but when I am there I hoping to get it extended as I am also applying for a residents visa.
