june 1 is kids day here in China just thought i would let everyone know

we took our neices out for a nice dinner for this holiday and then treated them to ice cream
thats about all you need to do    no red envelopes or anything else just spend time with the kids

Here in Kaiping, the elementary kids got the day off but all/most parents still had to work. So what do you do about babysitting ??? Most parents have their parents/relatives involved so I guess babysitting is not that great of a problem for this day. Someparents even brought their kids to work.

The bakeries got their share of the marketing gimmick of this day by selling "Children's Day" cakes for 6-10 RMB.
