Jimmy,

what we are waiting for is an expedited interview for Sara only as to why we want to go back to the USA. When she gets the
appointment yes it will only be her in the room as i have to wait outside. we are supposed to hear about our appointment in
24 hours from sending the email. will post the outcome here

today i recieved a call from the consulate for Sara to come in friday morning for her interview at 10 am.
the lady asked me a little about everything and said to make sure she doesnt forget her passport so
i am thinking maybe thats a good sign as they will put the visa in tomorrow??? we will see if not i will
sign out for a few years as they take me away to jail for going beserk for turning us down.

Good Luck Ted.  Common sense happens occasionally with the US Government.

Well we just got home from our wonderfully effecient consulate in Guangzhou. we arrived at 9.30 for the 10 am
appointment and there were about 200 other chinese there. Sara had to get her card and then we went upstairs
and she got in line. They wouldnt let me in on that side as it was open to all the k1 visa applicants. so i went to starbucks
over by the bus station and waited. at 11am they called her name and she went into room 7 and sat down. the man asked
her why she wanted to go to USA and she told them my mom died. he asked for her passport and typed something into the
computer and while he was doing that he said"" so your mom died"" and Sara said NO Teds mom died and thats why we are
going to the USA. he looked at our online form and asked who is this and Sara said thats my dads name. and he said pay
20 rmb for the courrier fee and your application for the visa is APPROVED. they will send the passport to you at your house.

that was it 10 minute if that interview and approval.

thought it would be more difficult and he didnt want to see the house book or bank books when she asked said no dont need
that its approved told her to go to the desk and pay the 20 rmb fill out the slip and she is done.

Ted I am glad that common sense prevailed. One trick question they asked and was enough proof for them. A great result but because of unfortunate circumstances, so we understand how this trip for her and you will be both of excitement and sadness. My heart goes with your journey - take care and godspeed.

Ted , I think because your a MOD .. things went easier for you at the Consulate .
Good thing you didn't mention Willy during .
Have a safe Trip . It will be sad for you and both sad and exciting for Sara to get to see the US even under those cirumstances .
