Guys,

Don did say that she got pregnant before they were married. When the first child was born would determine custody too, before the marriage or after. Looks like it was probably after being married. I would still report the taking of her child without her permission and especially across international borders. (U.S. customs always asked my kids when they were younger if the persons had permission to be taking them across the border but this was when they saw their last names were different on whatever citizenship papers were presented) There may be a question of custody in this case but the point is he would be stopped at the border or airport with the child and then held untill everything is decided.

If she can proove his "pot" habit and she has no such drug habit it will be a big plus for her in deciding custody. If you are going to the gov't agencies to get the ball rolling the police are the first place I would start and I would not sleep until I have been there. Then I would go to the others. The safety of the child is paramount. Look at all the crap going on in Mexico with regards to drugs. If he smokes that much pot he will be looking to buy some at some point from the dealers there and I would guess that the child would be with him too. I would be a little worried about the child. I don't think he is worried about the childs welfare because he abandoned the younger child along with his wife so I don't think the childs welfare is his motive for taking the older one.

Anyways, just for safetys sake I would go to the police ASAP Don and tell them exactly what hes happened. This is just my opinion on this though.

Something that has been noring at me since the beginning of this. A US citizen cannot own property in Mexico? That's number 1. Number 2, She can go back into the house, even if he threw her out. 3, if he abandoned her she may be able to keep the house and he pays for that because he left. 4, She can get all the help she needs (welfare, etc) simple for having that small child with her. Again he will pay for that (reimburse the state) too.

Have the cops come to the house with a locksmith and change the locks. It's legal that way. He didn't take the younger kid because he would have to take care of it instead of whoring around.

Why can't a US citizen own property in Mexico?  This must be limited to Americans because I know some Canadians that own property in Mexico.

of my interest in china but i never did like mexico especially to live. hell i lived in calif which is like a extension of
mexico anyway.

ok, I'm back in town breifly, first she is philipino, both her children were fathered by the same guy, so yes he's the father of both, second, he is already gone
with the child and her and I do not know where he is. So she has at least one anchor, that being that she had an americans children, so they would be
considered for all purposes american?
I am taking her to welfare on this coming friday and she is in arizona at this time.  Will get her some food stamps and the medical, they will know what to do
further...I don't think they will take the child away from the mother but with the new imigration laws, I don't think anchors count any more since all this mexican
stuff.
I would also like to note that Shaun, your wife is really foxey in that picture and you look a whole lot younger my friend.  Guess that viagra works in other ways
also...the fountian of youth....LOL  you look like 40 now....good food no mcdonalds.
Vince going from 2 bedroom to 4 bedroom with a loft now, that is why I am so busy.  Got a tiny bit of the kitchen done now and putting (still) in the solar system.
Soon as I can I'll upload some pictures (eat yer hearts out guys...heh heh), and you wouldn't want to live in that shack of his...no bathroom utilities (unless you
find a tree, no running water (unless it rains), nowhere to cook...etc etc.

Oh guys...to settle an argument....Yes you can own land in mexico... 1. I has to be 60 miles from any beach. 2. If you want land near the beach it cannot be
within 200 yards of the beach, to buy land near the beach you must use a mexican holding company on paper (they have lots of these) and it will never really
be yours truly, just you and the holding company.  The federarallys own all the coast line proper. (in case we attack them).... ;D ::).  I have a friend who
sells property down there I'll tell you about it sometime.

for the most part Rhoda (her name) has a roof over her head, the two year old (her youngest) has another 2 year old to play with and friday I'll take her down to welfare and get her food stamps (I already got her some to last a month).

Anyway thats for the most part what is happening.  Now, how to get her a divorce in the good old (pay up front) USA?  also it's not a green card its a temp visitors visa (90) day.

Best to all of you and if you like you can move this blog to the campfire where idea's abound.

Rocky.. ;D ;D

Americans and other foreign citizens can buy property in Mexico, but there are some things that must be considered. Property located within 50 kilometers of the Mexican coastline or 100 kilometers of a national border (U.S./Mexican border), is contained within the restricted zone "zona restringida", and foreign citizens are not permitted to obtain fee simple title to property located within its boundaries. However, foreign citizens are permitted to purchase use rights for property located in the restricted zone through the establishment of a land trust "fideicomiso" with a local bank. These use rights are good for two increments of fifty year terms, and the owners of these use rights may pass such rights on to their heirs who may then create a new land trust in which they too shall be able to renew their use rights for two increments of fifty year terms.

In simpler words you basically lease the land, not outright own it.

Don, thanks for the complement.  And yes I am a lucky guy.  That photo will be the center piece of a group of photos in a picture frame.  It is my favorite.

I hope that you can help Rhoda to the point that she is free from such a louse.  But don't be surprised when he comes back that she goes back with him.  So Don, be careful but you are doing a great job.

Guys, go to  "Rocky Point Mexico" on the computer and unless things have changed there is a whole thing on the land stuff on the realitor page.  Also, got Rodia
stuck in a house of a friend (girl) and she is now doing fine, but is still confused with the immigration thing.  She now has a roof over her head, food, clothes,
and the baby has another 2 year old in the house to pester and torture. She has already been able to talk to her son and of course the arse.  She is still leaving
him and looking into a divorce, he is trying to sweet talk her and even said he would send money (not, just trying to get her address) and any other info he can
as this is how it works (Shaun is very correct).  Once he sweet talks her to coming back, he will get her to go to mexico and all hell will break loose.  I know this.
if she does go back, it's her funural as you all know that women will go back to the same old shit.  Guess they can't get enough punishment.
Anyway, I've talked myself blue in the face trying to tell her to stay here and all will be well, and I will take her to immigration in Phoenix later this month
to get the information she needs.  By the way, she is 26 (my mistake) both kids are his and the US has a deal with the Phillipines and so both children are US
citizens and have US papers.  Ok, will get more news as it happens guys.
