Twas the night before Christmas?
« on: December 24, 2010, 09:49:48 pm »
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through this site
Not a creature was writing, not even a mod
The EMF's had been sent from the computer with care
In hopes that my Chinese Lady soon would be there
And me alone with my glass of misty red
drowned my sorrow in a bitter Shiraz
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my sofa to see what was the matter
The moon on the breast of a new fallen corpse
Heck...Is that Santa... pissed drunk on my steps?
I Tore open my door and threw on a jacket
To Hijack his sled for China was my new racket
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came
And I whistled and shouted and called them by name
Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen!
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the World, to the Great China Wall
Now dash away dash away dash away all!
So off to Shenzhen the coursers they flew
With a sleigh of gifts and my desire come true
And away we all flew like a dawn streaking missile
To a land that for this night my love will sizzle
But I exclaim ere before I soared out of sight
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Romantic night!

I am about to enjoy my second Christmas in China.

We will be sitting down to lunch shortly to a few grains of rice washed down with a drop of the sparkling Pearl River.

Merry Christmas to all my Readers and a may your success be more than you can hold.

And of corse a very prosperous New Year to all members past and present.

Apologies to those I badly upset in 2010 - I will try to do better in 2011.

Willy

Willy

You will need more than a few grains of rice and half a glass of water to sustain you through the next 5 days....which are likely the most important 5 days since humans came down from the trees (excepting the few who are still up them !!!
IT IS THE BATTLE FOR THE ASHES...ROUND 4...can the limping Aussies pull the rabbit out of the hat ??...the Nation is invigorated after the Perth match where the Poms were crushed

Beer sales are back on track, the population is smiling again....we CAN do this...the mighty Poms (or should that be the mighty South Africans, with just a little help from a few Poms) are on the back foot............watch this space !!!

erm... 98 all out. Those beer sales are bouncing up and down like a kangaroo on speed. Just wait, though, England will probably snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Or not. Who knows?? Like Like the unpredictable Melbourne weather, and the Crowded House song, this match can go through "Four Seasons in One Day", so I am not betting on anything. But maybe England will forget to muck it up and remember what the bat is for.
