Chinese New Year
« on: January 29, 2011, 12:59:28 pm »
Hi guys.  It's that time of year again, that the Chinese New Year is upon us.  For those of you guys that are fairly new to the online dating scene with a Chinese lady, this is a warning to you.  If you are using a web site such as chnlove to communicate with your lady, your communication with her is going to come to a rather abrupt stop.  The agencies, and the translators will not be working during the Spring Festival.  Chances are, your lady is spending her time with her family.  For those that are not aware, Spring Festival is like our Christmas, New Year, and every other major holiday, combined into one, and multiply that by 5.  It's the most important holiday in the Chinese calender.

This is your warning that you will likely not hear from your lady.  Don't be discouraged, or don't feel rejected.  She wants to talk to you, but has no way to do so, if you are using the EMF service.  Give her a week or two, and things will be back on track, and the letters will be flowing.

Actually, she warned me, and I kinda figured that would be the case anyway, she said she was spending a couple days with family and then she and some friends were going to the hot spring in Shijiazhuang, which she tells me we will visit together when I get there.

I have been kind enough to send her a couple letters regarding our snowfall here though.  I know there is that chance they talked about it on the news there and I didn't want her to worry, figure if there's a letter in the system, she'll know I'm alright.

If I am not mistaken China Post is shut down too.  I have a package waiting to be delivered there.  I don't know when it will open again but I do know that as soon as Peggy gets the package there will be enough happiness to go around the world.  :D

Opens up Monday Morning Shaun.

so hopefully the pleasure will be spread sooner.  Mind you I had a package from UK sent by special delivery. Took 6 weeks to be ready for me to collect.

Thanks Willy for the info.   Happy woman = happy man = happy employees and hopefully happy customers.
