HELP!!! QQ...

Hey it i..still unable to get this QQ thing figured out.several people have tried via e mails and posts but I must be some ultra race of idiot... I cannot for the life of me get the QQ 6to work.. I have both Skype and Yahoo messenger figured and have been able to cfam chat on both boy that QQ has me baffled.. Can somone that kinows how to set it up call me and talk me through this? Thank you dan 916 200 9867 California...send me a message or text best time to converse.. I am on call so it may take a little coordination thank you in advance .. Baffled and befuddled in Sacramento.

I am afraid I can't do much to help but I ran into a problem when I installed qq and didn't have a clue how to get it up and running although I consider myself pretty good in this field, having been using the Internet since 1996.

After a while, trying to find what was causing my trouble, I decided to remove the program and the already downloaded files from my computer, erase all cookies and history and install it again. That time around I had no problem whatsoever installing it and getting it running so I figured there must have been some kind of a bug in the previous installment.

Yeah they have something in there that messes up. I've uninstalled it 3 times already. I haven't used it yet but have it. Once in a while when I do open it, it says my sign in/password is wrong? It worked fine before? So maybe pull it out and reinstall it may help?  Good Luck


P.S. Just tried it and it came up with a window stating my ID # has been used abnormally (?) used and had to put a code in to open it?    Strange

Vince, my QQ is doing the same, saying my ID# has been used or something.  I was all worried about it, and was trying to change my password, and my lady said don't worry about it. I guess she is having to put code in also.   So I just go along with it and don't worry any more.

I have had this too ... the warnings. First I was concerned, but just signing in again fixes it completely and I don't think there is anything to worry about. It's just some kind of precaution that does not affect anything. But don't lose your password

Ok, I have QQ running thanks to B boy, robert, Mikie and others.. thank you all... Now afew questions.. I realize the long weekend may not be a perfect time for a quick reply but , none the less.. How do you get to the place where you r4equest someone to add you? how do you know who is "knocking" I heard that noise and it took me aliitle while to figgure out that the little pen gwyne guy tutrning into a black squre means something other than self immolation .. but for the life of me i can't finf the add me section.. I am stuck in contacts area.. how might i escape? Thank you all in advance . dan

You need to know who you want to add you..
If you are using QQ international you will find at the very bottom of the com window a button. Search Contacts. 
click that button and it will open another window to search for someone.
Type in the nick name or the Id and then click search.
It will return you a choice of people it found that match either the ID or nicname you entered.
Click on the person and then click ADD.
It will send them a message that you are trying to add them.
 At this point you just need to wait until they add you or deny you.

QQ International seems to work the best for us. My wife talks to her family pretty much everyday. Her and her 4 sisters and Mom all at the same time.
I listen to it. Sounds the same as it did sitting in my living room in Harbin. God those women can talk.

I think what Nigel is talking about are the unidentifieds that pop up wanting to talk , on my qq I just click on each one and they come up as their number comes up one can click on that to see some profile of them then if okay just add them to your friends and start talking , regards Sujuan and Robert .
