What does it mean?
« on: December 22, 2011, 03:13:06 pm »
Hi Guys, A lady I am corresponding with in Chengdu took a novel approach.  On China Love she sent me an admiration letter.  I have been lurking on this website for months (china love dating site) and have 300+ letters.  I have never written to a single one because I am just watching and learning.  Some of the women have written several times.  Some of the women thank me for the cupid's note that I never wrote.  So, I get it.  Most of this traffic is just the agencies casting their lines trying to catch someone's attention.

But a lady from Chengdu, in her admiration letter, put her yahoo email address in it.  So, I said to myself, "self, take note of this unusual behavior (smile)"  So, I began to correspond with her and she is very pretty and sincere lady.  I am not writing to anyone else and told her this.  I have done the backup multiple dating thing when I went to Russia in 2002 and had the same disasterous results that Pinneau did.  My wife had died of breast cancer at the age of 37 and I was a mental hazardous for your health zone.  So, I will never do something like this again.  Unfortunately there wasn't a group of guys like you and a forum back then to expound correct behavior for those of my ilk.

This lady has said something in her email that I am puzzled about and my actually require you to ask your chinese women what she means.  She said and I quote exactly, "I am laid back and naggish"
At first I thought she meant nagging..like a woman who will harangue you for leaving the toilet seat up.  Then I went to the Internet and said define "Naggish" and it spoke of nagging.  But the second definition stated, do you mean naggisch?  Which has to artsy Porn.  Any help appreciated.  Also, yes, I have asked her to further explain.  But since her English is weak and my Chinese is non-existent it can take 24-48 hours to get a reply.

HahaHa

You will find many such "pearls of language torture" as you wend your way through Chinglish.

Even if she meant naggish, as in our definition of nagging, her version of nagging wont fit yours !!! It is a word she has heard/translated/been told that has got horribly screwed up in the translation.

Just ask her to send you the word in Chinese...many here can get the exact meaning for you....my Ming would only be too happy to help another woman from Chengdu and translate for you.

Dont worry...no woman would ever admit knowingly to being a nagger...especially to a Western Man whom she is trying to catch... ;D ;D ;D

If it were me I would not even try to guess. I would just ask her. What did you mean by naggish? Could be she meant something quite different and her translator screwed it up.
Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Maybe she has been chatting to Scottish Rob previously and she meant to say Haggis.  Well the H is close to the N on the keyboard. :P
