this thread could turn out to be one of the most useful and important ones. While there are no guarantees in this world, my positive experience (and others) with the P218 agency assures me that it is worthy of my and your trust.
I am back on the horse, so to speak. I am writing to 2 ladies from the P218 agency and I know I can take things at the pace that suits me, with no need for undue suspicions regarding the agency. I am also writing to two other ladies from different agencies. As part of my second letter to these two ladies, I have included the Proteus method of discussing direct contact, (in response to their questions about what I was doing in Changsha), as follows:
"I was in Changsha to meet a lady I had been writing to on Chnlove for 3 months. At least I thought I was writing to her. It turns out I was writing to her translator and the lady did not know me. So I was quite heartbroken, as I am a very trusting and honest person. Luckily I met some really nice people, some of whom I am proud to call my sisters. Even though I did not find my love, I found the friendship of some amazing people.
Because of my experience, I have to be a little bit more cautious now. I have no reason to doubt that you are a genuine person. But I feel I have to ask you something. After an exchange of ten or so letters, would you be happy to send me some natural photos of yourself and to make direct contact with me, through QQ or webcam or personal email? I don’t know how your English is and my Chinese is not very good (I am learning though), but even if we exchanged a few words, it would make me happy. This is not to replace our letters, but to accompany them.
I understand if you don’t want to do that. But if you are happy to do this after we get to know each other a little better, I would prefer it. If you don’t want to do that, I would prefer if you told me as soon as possible and then regrettably, I would have to end our communication. I am sorry if I have offended you by saying this, but I just want to have an honest correspondence with you. As I said I am serious about finding a long-term relationship. If you do not wish this direct contact, I wish you all the luck in the world. I am sure that someone as beautiful and as lovely as you will have no trouble finding someone."
Now you may consider this a bit draconian to mention so early in our correspondence, but I am in no mood for messing, and if they are offended by my suggestion, then, que sera sera. Better to have two Mei Yin beauties in the hand than two potential scammers in the bush.
