I have another question. For the people that did not attend their wives interview, did the embassy call you for a phone interview?
Just would like to know if anyone was called, and what to expect.

Thanks Again!
Mark

Mark , I've heard ( from here the Forum ) that it is common the Canadian Consulate will to do this . You'll get answers from Member's above the Border soon , in more detail for you .

My wife went for the interview in Montreal by herself and was granted the visa after they interviewed her.
I didn't receive any call from the consulate.

But it sounds as if she was already in Canada by then. Mark was enquiring about interviews in China.

Ah, sorry, it's a different case then:  my wife was in fact already a Canadian citizen at that time, and she immigrated to US to join me.

I can only speak from my experience. But I was not contacted by the embassy.
