Vince I don't think a new president will end corruption but there is always wishful thinking but I also know what that will get you.

My hope is that we get America productive again; you know the economy back on track.

Has everyone seen Obama's America 2016?  I am not trying to get political here but it is definitely interesting.  The video is biased but the information about Obama and his family and friends is very interesting.  It is worth watching.

America seems to be moving quickly away from the Land of the Free.  Honestly, I'm afraid to enter the states.  The guard mistakes you for someone else, and you end up in Guantanamo bay.  Fortunately, I don't have to fly into the states on my way to China, but now, since we fly over Alaska, we are required to follow TSA rules (no congregating in the halls on the plane). 

It could be argued that China already has more freedom than America.

I wouldn't venture into someones crystal-gazing bias movie or show. It's a false belief, just like most of the media & social media accusations on Obama.

Just don't believe the hype they built Romney up on.

The East Coast has certainly taken a battering and I feel for those who have lost their loved ones and their homes.

Just one question.  Why are the majority of homes built from wood? Is this tradition going back to the log cabins of early pioneers.

In the UK we talk of the value of family investments as being in 'Bricks and Mortar' but how can you value a property constructed from wood  that can be blown or burnt so easily.

Post WW2 majority of Long Island (NY) and northeast for that matter was rapidly populated by the returning military. To build homes and whole neighborhoods wood frame homes were built. An example of this is Levittown (one in NY and another in Pennsylvania) Levitt was the builder. With abundant trees and laborers this was the way to build a low cost home.

Willy I've lived in both.  Wood is more environmentally friendly than brick and mortar.  Have you hugged your termites today?

Bricks and Mortar last for hundreds of years.  We have houses older than than the United States.  Wooden houses have a value for as long as a Chinese home! That is unless the earth, wind and fire get there first.  No wonder the US bad Mortgages caused the world financial problems. There was no value in the houses.

It probably already has. You only think you really live in the land of the free. 

 Things will only get worse and so far it has not reached the great depression of the 20's but it is not that far away. That is unless some world leader has the balls to take a grip on things without having to bother about pleasing the electorate.  The electorate come in two halves so you cannot please them all. Half will always be disappointed in any result.  No such problem here

The trouble is that Presidents that get elected for their second term have the best chance of doing this but then they are more concerned with looking to ensure the next President is from their party rather than taking the extreme measures that are necessary.

What you need to avoid completely is getting two minority parties to join together in a coalition that really buggers everything up.  Just like the UK has.
