Sending Money to China

I need to send my wife some money quickly.  I've been using a debit card with my bank but that isn't available right now.

It's been a long time since I've read of another way to send it.

What is the most reliable, quickest and economical way to send money to her at this time?

Qing's been using Western Union between her Son's Father/Brother/Mom without any problem, for a fee of course. If she happens to have a Office near by?

Yes, Western Union is good, but make sure you get the details correct, otherwise they cannot get the money.

Western Union is the quickest way Shaun but as Peter says you need to make sure the details are correct. Paypal is now available in China but never used it.

Bank transfer. I wanted to transfer 60,000 rmb from my UK account  into my wifes B of C bank.  I did the transfer OK from my UK Bank but when we went to her bank they suggested it would be far easier to put the incoming money into my B of C account and then transfer if from mine to hers!

They said that there was a lot of paperwork to be completed unless it was going to the same persons account as sent it!

P.S Shaun did I miss something somewhere or maybe my age is delaying receiving information - you need to send money to your WIFE!!!!

  I have used Western Union " money in minutes" services 2 times. It costs about 14 dollars to send $ 1,000+ dollars and they can have the money in minutes. The form is very simple and easy to understand.Call me this morning and I will explain further if needed. Robertt

I too use Western Union sometime,It costs me 14 dollars to send money to China,but you better make sure as some the members here stated, the details are correct,her last name first and her first name last,I had problem with that one.the good thing about Western Union is when you send money to your laopo one time,you don't need to fill out another form as you would do with money gram.You come back and give your phone number and all the information come up and you tell the person how much you want to send.Money gram is about 9  dollars to send money to China,Xiaomei at first didn't like money gram but later she didn't have a problem with it when I said it cost me 9 dollars to send over and over plus the bank where she pick it up is about five minutes from her house.She was so used to seeing the Western Union.By the way, Walmart is a places you can send money gram.I haven't had a problem with it.

Here is the form needed for the " Money in Minutes"  Pretty much self explanatory. Tried to send it to your pm box but you have me blocked Scott.
The main thing to remember is to give the receiver all the needed information to pick the money up. The receiver will need the MTCN , the senders name, where the money is sent from ie State/Country, and how much money was sent. I used the bank before but 45-50 dollars per transaction was a bit pricey for a service that took 2-3 days and a buttload of information. This method only takes minutes and the money can be picked up at any Western Union office in the destination city. Good Luck, Robertt S.

Shaun , with Western Union if you have a linked Mastercard just go onto their site and you can send direct from your computer, oh so simple and money will be there in minutes , regards Robert .
