U.S. Immigration is a lengthy & very expensive exercise a lot of the married members have endured. It is work! Even if one navigates the USCIS/ NVC trail successfully, & has paid all the associated fees, the Guangzhou consulate is the final hurdle that your wife must be interviewed. Alone. You wait one floor below. All your preparations, ALL YOUR STUFF, going way back to when you opened communication with your wife, is subject matter in this very interview. If your wife's interviewer is not happy with your wife's answers, than all your preparatory work may be for naught (be advised, your original documents are to be submitted the day prior. The interviewer will already have your NVC caseload # with of all submitted copies of months ago).
Not all interviews are the same. My wife was asked maybe 2 or 3 questions. That was all for her. Success!
