Chnlove... really?

So after being in China for a while and breaking up with the girl I was going out with when I used to visit this site a few years ago. I find myself tempted to try Chnlove again.

But since I know 90% of that site is a scam. I am looking for a few pointers on how to deal with this site.

I remember reading here long ago that you should always ask for a picture with them holding your name and the date on it, and this already weeded out a few girls. But I notice they keep asking to have a phone call with you. All of them do, so I am wondering if they get paid on commission or something to lure you into a phone call since ALL of the girls do it.

That said, the lady above also keeps saying she wants her and her mom to come meet me over spring festival, but when I ask to start making plans.. when her flight will be, she says she needs to wait until her mom gets back from Sanya. So this also makes me suspicious since time is growing short until spring festival.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That said, does anyone even still use chnlove? I see the forums havent been used in a year.

If your are waiting for them to travel to the US at their expense then you may be in for a long wait!  That is unless you offer to pay for the flight in which case you will still have an even longer wait.

Forget the agencies now. I think they are all dead in the water.  This forum is still just about surviving but it looks like Chnlove no longer lets any postings be published.  It has been a long time since anyone came on here having had successful contact via any agency.

I was fortunate to have been able to come here for an initial 6 weeks, admittedly looking to meet a Chnlove lady, but after a week or so I realised that was not the way to go. I took an apartment and have been here for 6 winters now. Met a lady away from an agency and have been happily married for 5 years now.

If you can find your way to make the trip then I think that is a far more reliable method of making a successful match.

Ah I am sorry, I should have mentioned.

I currently live in China, and I have met a few women here.. but not the kind I am interested in, i like girls who are motivated, not just sit on the couch watch tv kinds of girls which are the only ladies I seem to meet in RL.... so that is why I am checking websites.

China or not - I would agree with Willy.  You should be making the trip to see her.

The fact that you are in China should make the trip that much easier for you.  No Visa, no expensive airline tickets.

Me. I am traveling no where during the Spring Holiday. 

Just announced on TV that the Railways have bookings for 750 million train journey's during this coming Holiday Fortnight.

That is a lot of bums on seats, that is if you do not stand all the way. Bums as in arse that is.

haha that is why i NEVER travel during the beginning of end of sprng festival.. if you do not have far to go, during the middle is okay.


But, I was trying to call this number last night... to talk to her... (see attachment) and instead of getting the part where you put in the Love call ID and then the #, I got a local chengdu print shop!

Has anyone ever used love call?  if so, did it work? If so, what the monkey am i doing wrong?

Well, thanks to the goofy way Chnlove is set up...  Everytime we try to trade information, it is blocked.

It makes me wonder how this site is still in operation.

Easy, because dumb people like me still go there.

The site is still running because of the yearly fees they charge the individual agencies. It is not due to the ever decreasing number of Western men who use the site.

What I do not understand is why someone who is currently living in China needs to use a website that is designed for distant relationships!

If you want to use an agency why not just turn up at one.  The reception I received was very good.

Well, because I could not find a listing of Chnlove sites.

I think there is one in Chengdu, but how to find it, I am not sure.

Well, needless to say...  the girl did not come down for Spring Festival.

So I am wondering where else to find a nice girl. The problem is I am looking for a girl that makes a decent living. In Chengdu, the girls i meet here are kind of lazy and are basically just into me for money or a green card.
