First trip to the Philippines
« on: April 20, 2025, 09:22:20 pm »
My first trip to the Philippines was a whirlwind of travel. I visited Cebu, Coron, El Nido, and Puerta Princesa. Many boat rides, many trike rides and also many plane rides. All this in 13 days. My second trip was much more reserved and less hectic. I spent time in Cebu before traveling to my girlfriends island of Mindanao. While in Mindanao I visited Cagayan de Oro and her hometown as well. Nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet. I have a few videos from my island hopping that I will post here when I have more time. My plans are to retire to the island in about a year and half, hopefully my health holds out so I can travel and enjoy my retirement. Check out AirBNB, many nice condos available at very low prices. I wish I had made this move years ago when my relationship with my ex-Chinese wife went south!

I have only been to Cagayan de Oro once, but I have good memories of the trip.  A little north of the city is a place called Dahilayan Forest Park.  It's a nice place to spend the day..it's the first (and only) time I went on a zip line.  Glad you had a great trip!
