Well, today came my ticket and tomorrow I will send my visa application to the Chinese Embassy in Copenhagen. In the end of next week I will know if they will let me go to Urumqi or not.

And no messages from Urumqi since monday. Internet and mobile phones are blocked. There is a curfew on Urumqi during the night. For the time being, there is nothing else then waiting and hope it will be over soon!

Hajo, I hope it will be over soon, as you say, too.
And that you will be able to realize all that you have to live, once there.

I cross my fingers for you ;)

That is great Hajo.  I did not know but Angels best friend from Beijing is there.  She was working on a health clinic.  They got swamped with injured i guess. She cannot get out at this time.  Angel talked to her Monday and she was ok.
Arnold if you are referring to me, I am of Irish descent.  now when you get two irishman together.  When we crossed the border from Michigan to Canada, we saw a billboard saying drink "Canada Dry".  I dont know but after 10 days we had them working nights.

It's Ginger Ale ... not Beer . Right? I do like Molson and La Batt's , but it's only good when watching Hockey not Soccer . For Soccer you need a real Beer . :P

Hehe Darius, I hope I will be able the European way, haha! Veni, vidi, victi like good old Cesar said. Now I will apply for the visa and then we will see. Concerning my blog, well I had a little accident in my living room (see the attached picture) :icon_cheesygrin:. That keeps me busy at the moment.

Of course, I am still concerned about Vicky. I have not heard from her since tuesday morning. Communication blackout in Urumqi. But I believe she is alright!

hajo, did you dig all that just to find a hatchet and begin any war in Urumqi?
:D
(hem.. sorry)
it seems anyway that it becomes slowly secured over there, and that's a good news for you ;)

About Canada Dry, it's a fresh drink, too, like some "lemonade" :)

Hajo, I still cross my fingers for you ;)

Sylvain, don't say it too loud! Otherwise the Danish authorities will find out that I want to get Vicky this way, hehe.

Yes, you are right the having the situation under control. I saw tourists arriving at Urumqi Airport. The Chinese authorities would not let them go there if it wasn't save. So it looks good! I hope for some contact in the weekend!
