Exactly.
Sorry to write only now, but we were so busy here and there that I could not connect long on my computer when we were back to the hotel, most of time.
Well...

Too bad.
Because 2 weeks were so short.

Too sad.
Because I had to leave once again Liyan.

But...
Very happy because we decided to marry, and we bought the rings, and then...
We just offered it to each other's, on the righteous finger :)
No ceremony, no official weddings with family, friends and so on. Only the rings, at first.
and later, we will have to celebrate "officially" the wedding, with our families.
I will tell more about our trip in another message, because actually i have no network at home, i must call my provider because of that, and i am using my phone to connect as a modem....
Btw, Arnold, yes, you're right, we contacted Jon, but he replied lately (mei guan xi ^^), and we decided to go the great wall, whatever he could help us to go there... or not.

see ya in another message so with some photos ^^'

Congratulations Sly on you good news.
I wish you and your lady my very best and hope that the both of you will have a very long and happy life together.

Félicitations Sly sur vous de bonnes nouvelles.
Je souhaite que vous et votre Mademoiselle de mon mieux et j'espère que tous les deux vous aurez une vie très longue et très heureux ensemble.

It’s nice that you were able to spend a couple of weeks together. When it is time to leave you are torn between the family at home and your sweetheart, so the heart stings are pulled in many directs and there are a lot of emotions that are niggling at you and the days seam to go by very slowly.
However you have one the world’s greatest luxuries Sly, is that you have your wonderful lady waiting for you and you can look forward to your futures together in each others arms.

All the best Sly, looking forward to your updates and pic.

Hi there, mates, brothers :)
I am very happy, always my head on the clouds, thinking more and more about what happened those last days with Liyan and all those things that were so wonderful to share.
Thanks to all of you for your precious replies/congrats, because I am very happy to read it and to share it with you :)
In those precious moments, I know sometimes we want all the best for each of us, and for sure, I am very happy to be her "lao gong", and that she is my "lao po" :)
I am also sorry because I still have many problems with my network provider, so I must connect via my phone to give some little news over here.
Liyan told first at her parents that she was in Beijing with a friend, but once we were in Beijing, 3 days later, her mother called her, and Liyan told her she was with me in fact, she loved me and that, no, she didn't want to be married with a chinese man. It seems she found some words so that her mother could better understand about Liyan and me.
Now, she is worried about many things, how could Liyan come to France, would she go back in China and so on, could I really help her and so on.
So, for sure, I told Liyan about a "plan".
I want to help her to learn french language in some "training centers", when she will be able to live in France with me.
I think she could then later find some interesting jobs, maybe could she work as translator, or working in some companies which english / chinese is required, so that really could help her. I am sure there are some companies like that in France.
I must also see for her to get a visa and to be sure I can help her, to live with me (I read somewhere I needed to have more than 10 000$ so help her, in case she would had to go back in China? ??? is it right?)
I also know and told Liyan I would like to marry in China and then in France, and she is also ok with it.
Photos will follow soon, about our trip in Beijing and other places, sorry, but you must wait a little bit some more.
(or you can check on FB if you want, but most of time, it is "french writting" :s )

Frank, mariage groupé? Eheh, à voir :) tu vas te marier quand?
Thanks for the congrats :)

Salut Sylvain,

I think you're talking about the certificat d'hébergement for a tourist Visa in France right? You don't necessarily need to prove that you have 10K $, and your parents could help you if needed by doing the certificat. She normally has to prove she has money and/or property and a motive to go back to China, but there is a path through a fiancee Visa.

Have a look on Bonjourchine, there is tons of info about that and also how to marry. It is possible to bring her in on a tourist visa, but the easiest is to marry her in China, then bring her in on a spouse Visa, more info on what you need here. The Chinese consulate do not answer their phone, best is to go there, be there at 13h15 and you get in, or very early in the morning (like well before 8am).

I'm working on that right now ... beware with the job opportunities, there are many many Chinese in France, and many speak English ... it would depend a lot on her degrees, but don't put your hopes too high for her finding a well paid job, be prepared to support her or at least being the main income contributor.

Now photos please :icon_cheesygrin:

Je me marie en Avril si j'arrive à réunir la paperasse ...

Cheers,
Frank

Yeah I'd love to see photos - I think Liyan was on my favourites list so you're a lucky man Sly!!!

There are lots of Chinese in Europe so it might be tough to find your lady a job, especially as the economy is bad. I am going down the self employment route if mine moves over here, although I suspect that in the longer term I'd be better off moving to Asia.

P.S. I think I've found you on facebook!
