Sad and Happy
« on: December 16, 2009, 11:36:04 pm »
I feel disjointed today being the one year aniversary that I left on a wing and a prayer. All journeys begin with one small step, and I remember vividly the excitment and anticipation I had that cold December 16th day. So long ago and yet, this year has transpired so quickly that I sometimes can not believe that person is me.

I have seen the growth of this fourm and many other fantastic stories. Some with hope, some with despair but all pulling along this incredible journey. Just as we remember our first kiss, our first love, we will always remember that first journey to a distant land.

As I type this I am also talking with my wife on Yahoo Chat. The webcam is not working well today so I miss seeing her as we type. But with my sadness she gives me joy that I wish to share with you all here on my aniversary.

She entered into a contest a few weeks ago and just heard from her music teacher the following news: ???????????19?20 ?????

Honey, I won the second prize in the preliminary contest. And I will attend the final contest on the 19th and the 20th, February in Hong Kong.

The second pictures shows the gentleman who is her music teacher. Just the other day my wife played some Christmas Carols for me on her zither that I heard through Yahoo chat. This will be a bit of a lonely Christmas for me since I proposed to her on December 25th.

Ah Rhonald, you hopeless romantic.  You've got a pretty incredible wife.  That's a cute kid in the picture.
...as irresistible as chocolate

Ya...that first trip is always the most memorable.  It has been great following your adventures for the past year.
