I understand and do not disagree with what you are saying but I can't imagine being 75 and my wife being 50.  If we are living in the US she would have to be working at the age of 50 and what I see most Chinese women do not want to work at that age.  Not only will she have to work but she will have to take care of me as I will not be able to do as much as I used to.

I think it is better to keep her age close to your.  I wouldn't want to go much further than the 7 years difference between Peggy and I.  But to each their own.

I think finding someone born in the same decade as you is good (e.g. max. age difference of 9 years or so). That way your interests and values would be similar.

I was watching a program about Thai wives the other night. The old guy married a stunning 19 year old, but their marriage lasted 3 weeks!!!
