Writing to others ... or not
« on: August 15, 2009, 08:11:38 pm »
Hi guys,

I received this response after saying I wasn't writing/going to write to other ladies:

You can reply other women's letters, I don't mind, but I am confident in myself~ Haha~

This has me wondering if:
a/ she isn't concerned about competition
b/ feels she has me hooked and isn't worries about any other ladies
3/ is the agency trying to drum up more business (EMF's)
IV/ she said it tongue in cheek

On the whole I'm not too worried, I did laugh when I read that :)

Kiwi , I think she is only testing you , how serious you are with her. Don't take it too far , no need to test her limit's to see how far she'll go . I'm still writing to two ... even though I'm married . That's because I had met them first and we are like Brother/sister's now . No harm there . But after you met somebody you like romanticly , don't do it .

Thanks Arnold

I replied to her saying it wouldn't be right to write to any others. It's not what I would do anyway, it's just not the right thing to do.

Chivalry is still alive and creaking along in this old decrepit hulk - ladies first, opening doors for them, etc

I feel she's saying her character will win out any other ladies regardless if you write them or not. I dont actually think she means this but is making a statement to hopefully gain your confidence in her character and NOT write others.
Alright earthlings, what form do you want me to take?....How about a taco, ....that craps icecream?  My trip to china

She could be right Ed :)

If fact I have no interest in writing to any others at this point. She wasn't one of those random intro letters either, only got that after I had added her to my favorites.

So far she's the only one I've written to & if things go well, will be the only one I write to (/cross fingers, touch wood, etc)

i was writing to 3 other ladies in my first week when the admire letter came in from my wife. Something about it grabbed me and I told the others I had found someone else I felt was more suited for me and wished them best wishes and so forth. I've had no regrets...

? - she could be writing to other guys......improving her odds

this is part of computer dating.  you don't just say "I'm all in" unless
you prefer to focus on person at a time.  the ladies have no doubt
been 'stood up' countless times.  they've probably learned by now
that their probability for success increases if they mulitask, ie writing
to more than one person at a time until they feel a romance is
imminent.

check her ID#, vis a vis, her origin date.  if she has been around for
some months, she's either very confident and selective, or has the
time to write to a couple of other guys at the same time.

no one here really knows the answer.  through continued exchanges
with the lady, you are probably in a better position to gauge this.

very true Raymond. I think everyone begins writing to more than one person, us and them but it doesnt take long to find a hopeful prosprect.

She could be in contact with dozens of guys !!

Still, I'm comfortable with one at a time so I'll stick with that for now.

'zactly.  each person has their own comfort level.  i don't mind if the
lady writes others.  it's their communique with *me* that I measure.
if it sounds canned and mass produced, i move on.  you can tell
very easily if the letter you receive is personalized and heartfelt.

conversely, I can only focus on one person at a time after the initial
2-3 introductory, gettin-to-know-you letters that I write to the ladies.

I started writing to several, but now I have found one I am really interested I'm only writing to her and have hidden my profile. Having several ladies on the go plus new admirers was getting stressful, not to mention expensive!
