This is outrage!
« on: August 24, 2009, 03:09:10 pm »
Brothers,
I have just received this in my private E-mails and I think this is an outrage, these men and women are fighting for what they belive in and wheather we personally think its right or wrong we should support them and for some one to do this in thier name is shameful.
This is what I received:

Good Day Friend,

My name is (Sgt 1st class) Peter Jones. I am an American soldier serving in the military with the army's 3rd infantry division, with a very desperate need for assistance. I have summed up courage to contact you. I found your contact particulars in an address journal. I am seeking your assistance to move the sum of ($8 million US Dollars) eight million United States dollars to you in the US as far as i can be assured that my share will be safe in your care until I complete my service here in Iraq.

Sources of money: Some money in various currencies were discovered in barrels at a farmhouse near one of Saddam's old palaces in Tikrit-Iraq during a rescue opperation, and it was agreed by staff Sgt. Kenneth Buff and I that some part of this money be shared among both of us before informing anybody about it since both of us saw the money first. This was quite an illegal thing to do. But i tell you what, no compensation can make up for the risk we have taken with our lives in this hell hole of which my brother in-law was killed by a road side bomb last time.

You will find the story of the recorvered money on the web address bellow: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.stm The above figure was given to me as my share and to conceal this kind of money became a problem for me, so with the help of a Brithish contact working here and his office enjoy some immunity, i was able to get the package out to a safe location entirely out of trouble spot. He does not know the real contents of the package and beleives that it belongs to a Brithish/american doctor who died in a raid here in Iraq and before giving up trusted  me to hand over the package to his family.I have now found a very secured way of getting the package out of Iraq for you to pick up, and i will discuss this with you when i am sure that you are willing to assist me and i beleive that my money will be well secured in your hand. I will like to offer you 30% from the total money for the assistance you will give to me. One passionate appeal i will
make to you is not to discuss this matter with any body. Should you have reasons to reject this offer, please and please destroy this message as any leakage of this information will be too bad for us soldiers here in Iraq.

I do not know how long we will remain here. I have been shot, Wounded and survived two suicide bomb attacks by the special grace of God. This and other reasons i will mention latter has prompted me to reach out for your help. I honestly want this matter to be resolved immediately. Please contact me as soon as possible.

God bless you and your family.

Sgt. Peter Jones
(3rd infantry divission)

Its a bastard ..yes. Same deal as all the scammers in Russian dating sites.

Funny though, if people out there were not so greedy and gullible, they would never get a cent...as it is there are always some folks who think that easy money beats working for it !!!!!!

I am sure none of the Brotherhood will ever fall for this sick trick.
If you must reply, and you shoudn't, just tell them you have referred the letter to Interpol

You guys may get a kick out of this website.

It talks about all the scams going out there but it also has stories about people who get back at the scammers by either ridiculing them and in some cases even scamming them back. I can't find the story but I remember reading about it a couple years ago where a guy actually tricked the scammer into giving him $100, lol.

Check out the Letters Archive and you'll get some (usually quite long) stories.

I just got done reading this one where a guy calls himself D'arth Vader and gets the scammer to hold up some ridiculous signs and keeps telling him to leave messages with him and to confirm it he must state certain passwords in the voice mails such as  "NICOTINE IN MIKE HUNT" and "EYE YAM A PEEDO FILE". He's got audio files of the scammer saying them and all too, lol.

Tons of reading there to keep you busy on those boring days when some good ole' vigilante justice can give you a good laugh.

Just rediculous. whats even worse the greed of people have them write back
and try to help these people thinking in return they will get back big money.
But the casinos here in the states have been doing it for years "loosest slots"
