Title: Get Married with no wedding.
Post by: Jimmy on November 14, 2009, 11:14:25 pm
In China for the woman to want to get the marrige certificate. But not bother with the ceremony. Wants to wait until she gets to the US to have the ceremony. Is this unusual? Is it still legal?

Jimmy , why would it not ? I got Married to Qing at the Regisrtry first and we received our little Red Books . So we were Legally married . Our wedding ceremony , was something that we wanted to have of course , but it is NOT necessary .. if you don't want one .
Nothing wrong with that , except you'll exclude all the Family's from joining the Celebration .

Jimmy, even in the US if you get married and don't have a ceremony after your still married. The difference is here you go to get a marriage license and then marry. There you get the license that's it, your married.

Right here after you get the License it still needs to be signed by a preacher or someone with athuroity to do marraige. And after being an American male for over 50 years it was just a little suprising to see a woman want to be married with out having to spend a few thousand dollars on a wedding.  Very unexpected it was. It just gets better and better.
One thing is for sure getting to know a Chinese woman is a wonderful learning experience.

Well Thanks guys i didnt know this before.
