Okay, ignore the stupid comments but the article is interesting. Chinese men going to Vietnam to find wives.

Not stupid at all.  Very very interesting.  I almost got married in Viet-Nam when I was there in 65'.
But it's not like it was at that time now.

I found the comments interesting also.

I seen something like this on the tv a while back.But instead of Chinese men and Vietnamese girls.It was Singapore men and Vietnamese girls.If I remember correctly the singaporre men were paying allot of money.

I think I remember that story...I think it was about $10,000 to $15,000 per trip.  That was back in the early 2000s...

They went because they found the women in Singapore wanting the 5 C's (cash, condo, credit card, car and country club membership) even if they couldn't afford it.  As most of the women introduced in these meetings could also speak mandarin (or another chinese dialect), they were desirable.

That was back then...

Interesting article in deed, its funny that Chinese men seem to see in Viemanese ladies just what we see in chinese ladies, maybe the grass is greener really does apply.

By the way , in the comments they keep talking about double eyelids, what does that mean? :-

I must admit i find the articles on this website quite interesting in the sense that it gives a Chinese perspective on things that is frequently totally different to what I reckon a western one would be.

it is indeed  i think the obedient part means to just listen and dont have an opinion
about anything and do as told?
