Title: Chinese Passport Cost

Looking to find out how much a Chinese passport cost - the real cost.

Does anyone whose wife or lady has a Chinese Passport know the answer?

I have been told locally  numbers ranging  between 2000 and 7000 rmb!!! but i am assuming that includes under the counter  money!!!

My wifes passport costed 400RMB. She received it here in Changsha back in September 2009.

What I suspected - just that an officer at the office suggest that these sums would prevent a fault being found in my wife's household register.

We are going back after the holiday and if he decline again I will go to higher authorities.  That is my wifes very eldest sister - she is formiable!!! I would not want to cross her.

Willy you need to go to the PSB building to obtain that.

The two thousand  or four thousand was mentioned by the officer when she went to apply for one.  I was outside the door but she stopped me going in after him.  His words were 'it could be very embarrassing for you if I could show that your house register had a forged item.'   He probably saw she was with foreigner.  

The only this was that we had been to another PSB the day before where they had made the entry concerned.   We are vgoing back after the holiday to sort it and him out.

check into this because i thought the only place to do this in guangdong is at the
psb building close to where we were when you did your thing at the embassy. it has
7 floors there and its for all of what chinese people living in Guangdong need to do
hate to see them take your money and then send you here?
