Thank goodness I will be back in China by then otherwise you will want me to visit with a bag of grapes.

Maybe I should explain this. He uses bedpans because he cannot sit on the toilet without a stepadder. ;D    He has not ironed my washing so no bed pan emptying. ;D

Seriouly though if he does not sit down soon and stop scurrying around I will tie him to a chair.  He is like a dynamo - the mighty atom - never stops.  How they are going to keep in down in hospital I will never know.

Not went in yet, going on Thursday, having op on Friday 18th.
Name of Operation is Carotid Endarterectomy, will be in for five days after it, on condition I don't take a stroke and die, which pamphlet says happens 1 in 3 out of 100 don't survive :o  So as you can imagine not feeling too excited about having it done...

only saying what pamphlet tells me

I just read up on it a little Rob.  My prayers will be with you.  It isn't that you need them but a little prayer here and there can help.

I look forward to reading more from you after the surgery is over.

Shaun
Title: Re: Hospital
Post by: Willy The Londoner on May 15, 2012, 07:23:35 pm
Worry you may but look on the bright side mate 97% survive.    You will be working with me for a long while to come.

well today to take my mind off hospital, I painted all the doors and woodwork in the house, now settled in bed ready for morning, hope to sleep tonight ;D
Title: Re: Hospital
Post by: David E on May 16, 2012, 10:36:10 pm
Now...let's get these statistics right, and in perspective....

1 in 3 out of 100.....this means 99% survival......

3 out of every 100...this means 97 % survival.....

Either way, compare it to deaths in air crashes.........1 in 11,000,000 passenger kilometers....

Or, in motor accidents.....1 in 27,000 passenger Kilometers...

Or smokers dying of cancer.......1 in 1100.....

Or, people dying of old age...100 in 100 !!!!!!!!!

Eiter way, something is gonna get you in the end  ;D ;D

So quit worying, relax, you wont feel a thing and when you wakeup...it's a new life.

Seriously....good luck Rob, I will be thinking of you

Cheers...David

Dont knock it Willy !!!!

The actual proof of the existence of the Higgs Boson Particle takes science back to one Billionth of a Second after the big bang. Without the Higgs Particle being confirmed, much of what the Universe is all about was missing.

I would go as far as to say that finally we have reached the point where Science and Religion come together.....and that is very difficult for me to say, as you know  ;D ;D ;D

From here on in, to go any further backwards into what happened BEFORE the Higgs Particles can only be explained by religion....or some other Science we know nothing about.

Stupendous discovery....IMHO  ;D ;D

Why the F... did that Higgs not stick around and tell us all when he had the chance? My did we have to build a line of washing machines to find his Particles?  Why do we want to know how it began?   ::)  Even the BBC was playing the 'fun' card on this.  As one said 'its nice to know where it all started but most people want to know if they will still have a job next month'

I actually saw Mr Higgs on TV last night. He is alive and 83 years old so us oldies must stick together! So good on you Higgsie. You sure got me and 99% of the world baffled.   So tell us how, all those millions of years ago,  they built a twenty five mile long underground machine to create our planet.  I mean there was no Chinese Workers to do it then! :o

Ok...I will have one more go at this...then I will slink away and leave you to your musings  ;D ;D

The point of all this "science" or "scientology" as Jason put it is simply to aquire fundamental knowlege about "what it all means"

If this does not interest you, fair enough and if I am the only one intereted, fair enough for me !!!!

The point I was trying to make echos your question in some ways........"so tell us how, all these millions (see BILLIONS) of years ago etc etc."

Well....there were no Chinese workers, there were no planets, there were no Galaxies...or people, or Macdonalds...or anything.

The only answer to this question will come (as I tried to say) from a Science we know nothing about,...or from God.........

Now I will shut up....thank goodness I hear you say  ;D ;D ;D
