It took me a very long time to find a suitable cake for our esteem member and friend Willy! I hope this cake is to your liking and hope you have a splendid time on your birthday! ;)

Karma...  In this case I like it.

And Happy 4th of July...  I mean Birthday Willy.  I imagine that the candles on your cake would set off the sprinkler system if you were back in the UK.

I know at my age I do suffer from premature happenings on certain occasions but never on birthdays up until today.
Ha Ha

Thank you to all. But can we have the same tomorrow please because that is the special day, even in China. Ha ha

Even the restaurant is booked for tomorrow. Then maybe by then I will have missed the whole occasion.

  Ok what is a Mukka????

  Happy Birthday Willy
It is a friendly word for the most handsome and generous and wise a person someone has ever met.

Probably not but how can anyone tell what comes from the mouth of a Scotsman!!!!

Willy, let me see.. I have a Book of matches in my hand for tomorrow. Being 4th of July and your Birthday, makes me somewhat  ???un-easy ::). Why? Well, I now don't know if I should use them for my "Fireworks" or your "Candles"? Can't do both, as I don't have enough! So anyway, I do have til' tomorrow to decide....

Have a "Great" day either way!!!!

Silly goose.  Light the candles first then after all of the candles have set fire to the house, use the house to lite the fireworks.  ::)

Thank you guys.

Let the fireworks explode all over the USA and let the parades begin.  You really know how to celebrate my birthd the fourth of July.

My mother celebrated Independence day as well. (Of me of course).

She once said of of me that I spent nine months to get out of a woman and the rest of my life trying to get back into others as often as possible. ;)

I suppose I inherited my wisdom from her. ::)

May you enjoy eating your crumpets with the sounds of trumpets echo your passing day
But beware with all you consume that this day's celebration leads you to assume
No gastronomical misfortune will befall, because alas, with the passing of gas
The horn that gets tooted maybe that most rarefied air that garners you stares!  :o

Happy Independence day heir Willy

Well that day has passed once more. The fifth birthday celebrated in China. Today was more successful in warding off those red envelopes for family members who I know cannot afford to be giving out money willy nilly.
It was day I joined in the ritual of a red envelope being passed over and going back and forth until one party relents.   Probably today sometime I will find the various places where the envelopes had been secreted about our apartment.
I know at my wife's birthday we found one from her elder sister tucked away in the 'freezer'!

But me paying for the dinner for so many on MY birthday is something I will probably not get used to.
