Hello
Sorry for so many topics but this is new for me and plus I am curious to hear many of you guy's thoughts on these different matters.
Has anyone been afraid to talk to their lady about their like of asian(Chinese culture)?
I mean, has anyone been sort of hesitate about talking about stuff like kung fu, martial arts movies and more for fear of your lady thinking that you are "asian crazy"?
I am wondering if anyone has had a problem with this if this is your interest.
I like things like kung fu and martial arts movies(I practice martial arts), but I am careful talking about some of these things because I don't want the ladies to think that I am off my rocker. I am not some "asian crazy" person, but I am still careful with what I talk about in these beginning stages.
So I am wondering what kind of stuff is safe to talk about in the beginning?

talking about China and asia is fine.I wouldn't talk politics. But beyond that it is fine.
-
No, when we do talk of China it makes her happy knowing I am learning more of it. She say things like we can go there when you visit. So I would say they like it.
Thats pretty cool. You talk about Chinese culture a lot?
-
Why wouidn't you where a green hat Michael? Everybody pay attention. The answer is real interesting
-
Mike very good that is correct. For thoose that didn't understand what mikes lady said.If you wear a green hat in China. It means that your lady is not faithful to her man.
-
So all you USA Army Rangers, and British/Canadian Infantry - take off your beret.
-
Thank you, I was shopping for a hat to wear this November and my number one choice was the green felt. These types of nugets are priceless.

When I speak to my lady about anything Chinese I never mention politics, that's the only subject that 'we' keep away from, and it was from me to her asking if we do not talk about it.
she was also very amazed at the number of Chinese movies that I had seen, and knowing about her culture, also through her help, really pleases her tremendously.:icon_cheesygrin:

You know you are family when your father-in-law talks politics with you. Last time I was in China, my FIL and I spoke politics, as he brought it up, which was really nice. But never, ever bring it up yourself!
