Just read your first 2 articules. Great name - heavy stuff.
Hopefully you mean the clothes and other crapola Rhonald!
Heavy aint me at all..well apart for the excess load!
The name is my real life Irish name (Ronan is my second name) which i defy anyone to say bar an Irish language teacher !!
-
Interesting. I did the clothes thing when I moved here. I'm ready to do it again with everything else. I have boxes of computer related stuff. Special connector wires, spare hard drives, Zip drives etc. I threw out like a half dozen printers. A few boxes of old manuals? in all sorts of fields.
So I know what you mean.

Vince, that was just the beginning, Mt ClothesMore is stil here..
Then there is the electro stuff
I got a car load of electronic and other manuals and stuff i dont want to part with!
Its painful, I keep thinking i might need it..then the sane voice says - "when did you last need it" and it goes on the dispose pile.
I have spent a insane amount of money on crap i dont use.

I took some pictures just so you don't feel bad. :icon_biggrin::icon_cool:
First is desk central. Everything used daily. This photo is from a month ago.
Boxes of computer stuff to the right of the desk.
The pile: Mostly computer stuff, papers and books. My compressor and shop vac next to the BBQ? My last one was stolen so I leave it inside now. On the BBQ shelf on top of one of the "Modem box" those are two of the HD's. The white box in front of the black bag (winter clothes) is another modem. Those two bins are just wires, adapters etc.
Left pile: You'll see a Dell PC buried under the old monitor. Backup for file transfers, etc.
Not to mention the front bedroom wall to wall tools?
It's always after I toss them I need it? But it's time. Lighten the load, get a small storage unit and I'm done. Going to Flea market tomorrow to sell things. Oh and winter clothes? It's 70 degrees (F) here in the winter. I just hold on to them if I go north visiting.

Holy moley Vince!!, i'm small time compared to you!!
Did you ever watch the Brit Sci Fi series "Dr Who" cos if you did you will understand that what you need is a Tardis !
-
Allot of it goes into the cabinet (next to the window, next to the boxes) but I want to finish the front room (bedroom) and then move it in there and stuff it. Tools in that room because I use to have a shed. Putting a shed here is in limbo right now. I have to take a photo or two of that room just for fun...
The tool room. :icon_biggrin: You name it I fix it or build it. I know it needs reorganization. On the shelf there you see my old Mac with a dictionary from the 70's on top? WHY?

I was using the word 'Heavy' as used as an expression in the 70's to refer to deep mental insights. Just a tounge in check comment that reflected the excesses stuff you accumulated with your inspired ramblings. 'Heavy' also was used to comment on something very serious or important happening to someone. Just some 70's slang.
As to comenting on the name - I meant 20kg for you blog - I like it and also the reason I chose heavy to describe it. But since you refered to your 1st name - is it Muireadach? Because this seems like a last name to me. Anyways happy cleaning and yes Vince has you beat.
-
Good God Vince, does the words " Pack Rat " mean anything to you?, I thought I was bad, well actually I was until Zhou moved in Haha
Just what is it you do Vince, do you build Computers?
Ronan, good blog, thanks

Long time ago in another century.... after electronics (paid crap, still does). I went automotive. Mechanic American cars, it grew to foreign, then exotic foreign, Then to wholesale aftermarket parts, to Muscle/Race cars to 4 wheeler trucks and vans. (All those mechanical tools). Oh yeah and car stereo's, alarms and other things like sunroofs. Sold most of that stuff (my stock) years ago.
Then went into x-ray machine assembly. Which was electrical and mechanical with hydraulics. (all the hardware, screws, bushings, etc). Then it turned into home remodeling & other wood working. Which I did all along the way to begin with.
The computer stuff just piled up from upgrading computers.
So it's all wood working tools, mechanical tools, electrical and electronic tools, and add in plumbing.
Now bookkeeping and accounting (on computers) but I still do everything else. (extra $$)

Actually 'Pops' ... I can get into Irish's blog from here in Kaiping so you should be able to as well in Beijing ... unless, of course, you have one of those manual wind-up "Made In China" computer knock-offs.
What model did you buy in Beijing ... the 'Dull' with the 'Wongdows' software ??? :icon_cheesygrin:
