This is what has me thinking about these fees. According to her she may not be able to meet me at the airport due to her work. Thats ok with me. There won't be anybody from the agency there, she is in Singapore and the agency is in Shenzhen, # 508, I'm guessing at this though. She says that there is not an agency there??? I'm guessing that she means a branch of the one in Shenzhen. (She signed up in Shenzhen and then was transferred by her work to Singapore several months later) Now that it is getting down to the meeting time I was just a little concerned, I meet her and everything goes south. I will have no way to get in touch with the agency. (I won't have a visa for china) I will have a beautifull vacation in Singapore but I will be by myself. I could go to HK I guess. My only option while there would be to approach either women or an agengy there. Don't really want to do either of these though. I just may be going there with no plan B so to speak. I do always look on the bright side of things and so I keep in mind that everything may turn out ok. But I still like to have a back up plan, just in case. I know that there will not be a translator from the agency there at anytime. She has told me this already. She is also not "scared" to meet me without knowing much english. I will be getting an electronic translator at some point early in the trip if not before. (Thats why all the questions about software Vince) I have a trial version of Babylon8 on here now. Impressed with how easy you can translate but not too impressed with the actual translation. Back to the fees, I would just feel a little burned by the agency from Shenzhen if things did not work out with her and I had no representation from them for all the EMF credits I have spent with them. I too would argue on her behalf for a waiver of the meet and greet fee if the agency did not send a translator if things do work out. It looks like that may be a part of the contract they have,? to supply a translator for the meeting?

By the way the last lady I was talking with told me that her agency would not charge a success fee. I can't say that this is a fact though because things didn't work out with her.

I guess what I can add to this thread is that not everybody's experience of chnlove is the same. There are things that have happened with me and my lady and her agency that have not been experienced by anyone else.

But phasing out the agency ASAP, that is a good ploy if you want to avoid big fees later. Of course you might get scammed by a lady without the help of the agency, but that can just as easily happen with a woman from your own town :icon_cool:.

Plan B incase is the way to go always. There is agencies in Singapore, Arnold can give that info to you. Where is he anyway? Get the contact info of the agencies near where you be incase. You never know. Not that something may happen but sometimes there are misunderstandings and the agency can help even with that.

E Translators are good to use. Some computer programs seem good until the lady tells you different. On the phone I use two programs to define words she doesn't understand. On one she understands clearly on another she tells me is wrong. Different dialect I guess?

Ok, I don't want to highjack this thread or seem too electronically uneducated, but on the phone there is a program you use to translate?? Is there an explination somewhere in this forum?

hehe There are some translators that pronounce the words in chinese. One time on the phone there was a thunder storm going on and she was speaking low and I could hardly hear her. Her english is OK but she's learning. So I said there was thunder? She didn't understand the word. So I had the online program say it. Needless to say it took like 10 minutes to understand.

The first one has the words already done just click on a sentence and it says it.

The other is you put a word in and it comes with a list of meanings and then will speak the word. This is the one she doesn't like?

This is great Vince!!! I'll give it a try. Armed with this and other "stuff" it makes it easier to ask for direct contact. The fear I had was that she says OK. Then you call and....... what do you say and how are you going to say the right things, pronounciation. Pronounce it wrong and you may be telling her she has teeth like a baboon rather than she has a nice smile.

You have to stay calm and not think she's making it rough on propose. My lady knew a little english in the beginning and studies everyday. She bought herself a E Translator. When on the phone she says a word or sentence and wants me to repeat it so she hears how I pronounce it. My problem is I slur my words sometimes so (she knows I do) I have to think as I talk. All in all we have a great time and many laughs.

I just reread that one. Got myself laughing with that one. I didn't know I was that funny.:icon_cheesygrin: I didn't mean it to be funny though. I was just trying to point out I didn't want to make any errors reguarding pronounciation. I got myself in stitches here now. Can't stop laughing. :icon_cheesygrin: I'm in a good mood here.
