Google Translate
« on: September 20, 2010, 08:37:21 pm »
I have noticed over the past few months, that Google Translate has been changing.  The first change, was there is a speaker button.  You can type in English, and translate it to Chinese...then click the speaker button to hear a computer voice speak the words.  Now, I see a button to Read phonetically.  This seems to convert it to pinyin.  It could be a helpful tool, although I would not put all my faith into Google Translate to translate everything properly.

The QQ translator you can download also does that.
And IM translator has the button you can hear them say it.
I have a half dozen I use.
But I bought the Systran to install,  it is very close most of the time. And you don't need internet since it runs locally on your machine. But when you are connected it will update it self. I am happy with it.
