Thank you so much Proteus, I love nature programmes and one about China - pure heaven!, i am hooked after the first two minutes or so!
I never heard of this one before must see if i can find a hq torrent or something of it.

I too was hooked after just a short time watching.  The quality of the Photography is excellent.  I watched the first episode on my computer.  The download or bandwidth or something makes it hard to watch the next one because it keeps stopping every few moments.

I found it on Blu-Ray available on Amazon.  So I ordered it and it's being packaged and shipped as we speak.  I'm so excited.  This will be a treat to watch.

Yes, I watched the first one online, the quality was marginal because the resolution was not as high to accommodate the smaller bandwidth.  I could see that the cinematography was excellent.  Being that I come from a Radio and Television production background I take notice to these things.  I've always liked the BBC documentaries because they are well produced.  Also you can find very well produced programs on the PBS Nova series.

On a side note, I noticed that in Shenzhen there is a TV University, is this where they teach television production, or does the TV stand for something else?

I finally got the DVD's that were slightly delayed because of the weather here on the east part of the US this past week.  The video is excellent and as I expected very fine quality.  Also, in addition to the six segments, there is a 20 minute feature on the ingenuity and techniques that the film crews used in various aspects of the creation of this series.  

Overall it is a very nice way to spend a few evenings watching these shows.  I highly recommend them to everyone.
