Internet Cafe
« on: November 23, 2011, 07:35:00 am »
There was a programme on TV last night about Internet Cafes in China and Guangzhou in particular was highlighted.

Maybe it will help some of our current or members to come, as why the women do not go them.

They have aquired a very bad reputation.  It was estimated that there was at least 4 million young people are heavily addicted to playing internet games in these places.  Some were said to play for 15 hours or more a day as most are open 24/7.  Petty crime is high in these place.  There are often fights over minor interuptions.  And it is rare to see a female in them unless she is also addicted to playing internet games.  These girls have been known to do all sorts of favours for men just for an hour or so's playing time.

There are now three complete hospital in China dedicated to helping these addicts return to a normal life.

Willy,

Thank you for this info.

When I first began this great adventure I wondered why the first couple of women I talked to would not go to the internet cafe.  Later I read that these places were not the safest places for a woman to go.

Thanks for opening up a clearer picture for the new guys coming on this site.  We always need to remember that we with our western culture and mindset can't begin to understand what these women go through on a daily bases.  To make matters worse the women with their eastern culture and mindset don't realize what we are thinking and our lack of understanding.  This is one of the reasons Maxx gave us  24 hour rule to think about.

Fortunately I've had this forum and a future sister in law that lives in the US already to help me.

Thanks Willy,  My wife will only go to net cafe during the day ,usually 10am in Shenzhen.
I used net cafe a couple of times when i was there and thought for the number of people there that they were quite well behaved, the same in Wuzhou.
Actually my wife hires a room off to the side, more private and it gets her away from the cigarette smoke, If i had known the process was going to take this long I would have bought her a lap top in the beginning

Cheers

This is the way to go

Turns out that my wife refused to go to an internet cafe in Handan too as of the low life's that would normally occupy them , I nearly ended our relationship early as i thought i was being played by our translator, turns out that i was completely wrong and i am glad to say that i stayed with the EMF,S , Now i am happy to say that we spend MANY hours each night talking about trivial things and our relationship has come leaps and bounds from where we first started,   It is not all bad out there, John.
