I received this in a letter yesterday:

hey ... dear man , I feel like I can tell you anything. Sitting here writing how I feel bring tears to my eyes because of the warmth you cause to radiate from my heart makes me happier than I have been for a long time.There are not enough words to describe the effect you have on me.you make it easy to be myself, and its you who set me free.you are just so lovely man , I can't believe how good you make me feel.I was scared this was only just a dream, but you assured me this was real.When you told me how you really felt, I had difficulty trying to breathe.every word that you wrote, made me want to be with you so much more. I long to be with you , like we envisioned for our life one day .The thought of your arms around me , with your hand in mine is just so sweet. We connect on many levels , not yet of the physical, but the mental.

I got a few very touching letters where my wife had expressed how moved she was by my words. It seems they really can tell when you're giving them the "real" you and they truly respond to this.

Scott, That's a good point. Some have had genuine responses like this while others get something else, where be from a translator or a disingenious lady, but each of us must decide for ourselves whether we can judge from our letters with her if it's real or not.

Much of this is all based on faith. Sometimes you can see the signs, while other times you don't. I know, in my case, I took the leap of faith and received the ultimate reward. Each person has his own leap of faith to make, or not.

When  I was writing to my first lady, I told her that I had hidden my profile  she said she was flattered, obviously not flattered enough to hide hers, enough said, she is now in the past tense.
I had an admiration letter from the lady I write to now and somehow it does not seem like the same lady. If it is the same lady, she could have had a loss of emotional control at the time when she wrote the admiration letter,( who knows ) so now maybe she is just being cautious. I got no reaction at all when I told her that I have hidden my profile, oh well, can't win them all. I'll just see where it goes.

Yes, it does make you think about the admiration letters and if they are genuinely from the lady you write to or if it was some creative writing by a translator. However, if it all works out then I guess it does not really matter because the end result has been achieved. All we can do is use common sense and instinct to decide whether to reply or ignore such overly creative letters. Nothing is guaranteed in life. That's my tuppence worth.

AHKIWI, good luck to you mate and your good lady, I hope you get what you hope for. You're obviously doing something right and deserve the rewards.
