Hi fellows.

I am back in circulation. I received the text today that basically says 'your dumped'.    I had been expecting this for 5 days so it was not so painful when it happened. But in my heart I really new things were not going too well after my faux paux.
But maybe I should not have asked her outright the question ' Have you other lovers?'  I could see that this hurt her and I believe she was telling the truth when she said 'no' .   But the relationship was never going to be the same again.  She blamed the rift on her English - I blamed it on my very BAD ENGLISH.  Well at least the choice of words.
So this failure is down to me - no one else but me.

Am I disaapointed,yes.  Am I dispondent, yes.  Do I miss her, YES.  Am I put off - NO.   There is no turning back.  The Willy is up and running in the next race.
I am in China to find the woman who will stick with me and if it means bedding many more women then I will suffer that because one day I will find the right one amongst the millions here.   Send another container of Viagra to me. Nothing is going to keep the Willy down.  

I have several dates already lined up. One is in Shenzhen - does anyone know if there is a ferry from Zhuhai to Shenzhen as the bus takes 3 hours.

hang in there willy.  we're all rooting for each you/each other.

it would be too simplistic to conclude that the question alone was
flawed and should never have been asked.  the delicacy of such an
inquiry is balanced against one's relationship and communication
style with your partner.   same question could be asked another
and it will be answered w/o prejudice and angst.   another person
might simply maturely convey (and defer) that this is not the appro-
priate time to answer such a question.

communication is a fuzzy logic thing and in various shades.

i've had one lady ask me same question, prefacing that it is her
understanding that in the USA, sex is more free.  she wondered
what my experience was.

i've also asked another lady in more diplomatic fashion.  I asked what
her other relationships lacked which hindered their success.  she
responded very candidly about past romances and lovers.

so one must really be tuned to each other when posing such intimate
questions.  

there is a part of me which wonders.... if your relation was delicate
enough that this one qustion became the 'deal breaker' for her it
would seem to me that the lady has a lower communication threshold
in which she was unwilling to accept from people.

or......it makes me wonder if there were other issues and this question
pushed things past the point of no return?

She is also citing her lack of English as the main point but her dumping text came over loud and clear in perfect English.  So probably she felt we were not suited or she could not suffer any more complaints from other tenants about my exhuberant bedroom games!!!  I like this one best.

Answer your last question . I travelled a lot in China , so I am familiar with this . Yes, there is a ferry from Zhuhai to Shenzhen , only one hour .  You can take the ferry from Jiuzhou port of Zhuhai to Shekou port of Shenzhen , the cost is about 90RMB , very convenient . I have been there in July this year, if you have other questions when you travel China , please tell me . Wish you have a nice trip !

Thanks for that information- I see that the boats leave on the hour every hour to Shekou so that will do me fine.  It will be worth the trip - this one is very tall and very slim.

Truthfully I am sorry to hear what happened to you. I know the last 5 days have been agonizing, just waiting for the inevitable.  But worry not I hear there are a few extra women there in China.

I do think she could have told you her decision in a better way than she did. Text is a really cold way of telling your lover Bye!! Even a telephone call would have been better, if she didn't want, or couldn't face up to a face to face meeting!!

Chinese women have a really bad habit of not telling you what's going on, we as westerners are just not used to it. So i would advise all you guy's that have Ladies, whether you are engaged, married or otherwise to get this phenomenon cleared up, as soon as possible. Don't run away with the idea that, ...that is going to be a simple matter either. ...Because it won't be, but it really has to be done as early in your relationship as possible.
Like myself, if you ask any of the married guys here, it has caused problems in the past for them. They just have this idea in there head, that you don't need to be bothered about such things, when obviously you DO!!

I'm sorry to hear that mate...I must admit, I did wonder what 4 words could make her split from you...:blush:  I once mentioned about 'writing' to others to Keren, (I had asked before but forgot I had done so), and she nearly went through the roof, she felt I did not trust her...It wasn't until I explained that she accepted it, as it was meant, 'a throw away comment'...:icon_biggrin:

I am glad to hear you are back in action.

I tell my daughter that men are basically dogs. They are happiest chasing after a bouncing ball. Once they've caught it they'll chew on it and dribble on it a bit. But once they've caught it, they lose interest in it pretty quickly. So the art for a woman, is always to leave at least something just out of reach *laughs*

It's not long to go for me now. About a week to go. I should start my own thread. I'll have to give it some thought. It takes some nerve to say "this is what I hope for, above everything else" and then watch it go down in flames.

I'm not sure if I can face writing this early on . . . my friends and I have a saying: inner peace through lowered expectations! *laughs*

You mean to say your wife has never for argument's sake, ....made arrangements for say going out for a family meal, and only told you about it literary an hour or so before you were due to have to leave to be there??
That's just a mild example, of what i'm talking about Jim, but it can cover a whole multitude of things.
If your saying that this never happens with your wife, then you can say, your even luckier than you thought, because i'm pretty dammed sure the rest of us knows exactly what i'm talking about... hahaha!!!

I can give you a job lot.  I have two sets now - one I won't even bother to collect when I next go back to UK.  Maybe i am better of just living with them for a week or two and then move on.

Your dead right here David.  She did so many things that she did not tell me about. The next time (the next time and probably the next next ten or more next times) I will stamp on on non information straight away. and stop the relationship there and then if it happens again.  With this one I let it go on for too long and then we reached a point where a break up was the only thing that was going to be achieved.

It's not long to go for me now. About a week to go. I should start my own thread. I'll have to give it some thought. It takes some nerve to say "this is what I hope for, above everything else" and then watch it go down in flames.

I will be in Shenzhen on 17th and 18th at the moment but i want to see some positive vibes when you get here. Non of this expecting it to go down in flames.   I am getting a taste for Tsing Tao beer now especially for your arrival. A whole pint bottle in three days.  well you cannot rush a drink that cost 35p (50 cents) a pint can you!!!

 Maybe they will have refilled the swimming pool by then and we can drink as your daughter swims
