AVG says there is a problem with my QQ. It also didn't like the pinyin input editor my lady installed.

The malwarebytes thing is excellent and it is a good idea to install and keep it up to date because if you use IE then you can get malware just by visiting an infected website. That doesn't just include pr0n or warez sites either, my own site got hacked (the FTP password was stolen) and my homepage was modified so that it installed a virus on the PC of anyone visiting it using IE.

To make things worse, many malware things disable common antivirus/malware packages. Do not underestimate the sophistication of this stuff, it is a work of twisted genius.

I dread to think what's lurking on my lady's PC, I'll have a look next time I visit.

What lurks next? Just ask the antivirus makers. I've always had a theory they create the problem so you buy their software. I could never understand the idea of creating a virus? Except for the antivirus companies what's in it for the guy infecting sites and computers? Trying to prove something?

I remember MSN had an automatic translator that you could invite to the conversation (you add it to your friends list as if it was a person) and it would translate the conversation automatically.  I never used it.  I imagine something like that would work for QQ as well.  I haven't looked, but it would be interesting to try.

 and see if it translates? that would be a good

On the whole, it works pretty well, about on par with google translate, and sometimes better. But It's much more convenient as it's all done on the message board for you.....

I advised of this system a few months back, i don't know if anyone else took it up and used it.
I don't use it so often now, no need too... and they brought out a newer version of Tbot that i haven't used but i have it handy...just in case!!   lol!!!

I use a translation software the reverses and you can read what it is sending.  VERY important.  If you read my posts you know the story.  I am having a problem with mobile QQ on my blackberry.  I installed palringo but it is having problems establishing QQ.  i do not know of any other English version of QQ for mobile phones. i would appreciate if anyone knows one.

I have QQ as an application on my iPhone. It works really well. I didn't need any extra software. The latest version allows me to cut and paste, so I can paste Chinese messages into a translator application, and reply in Chinese.
