I remember a stint in Saudi, many years ago, i was involved with the handovers of newly constructed hospitals for the Ministry of Health in one camel townships. This particular hospital was in Hafra al Batin and about 500 km north of Riyadh. No-one had organised the catering for the handover team.
To cut a long story short, for around a week until things got organised, we were all living on eggs, beef bacon, and cheese!! Many a time during that week i had 6 to 8 egg omelettes, and even had seconds of 3 or 4 egg omelettes. But that was at a time when my metabolism was at full tilt, so never gained any weight or put on any inches... but was always a bit worried about becoming ''Egg bound'' lol!!
After that first week, the main contractor was contracted to supply and feed us in there site restaurant. Being a French company the rest of our time there, and at another site, was a pure gourmet's delight ..lol!!
