They still sell separate engines salt vs fresh.  I never saw a need to buy salt.  I run with Johnson.

A boat dealer said it's an intermix cooler for salt water, what Shaun said, has somthing to do with the metal, so it won't
corrode, but if you flush it out after every use, with fresh water, I don't see a problem.

Shaun, got the zerks and I'm on it....also the L hitch at 5 1/2 inch lower, so will have to see what that does also.  I can get one even lower so to put the weight on the back of
the truck and less weight on the tandem axels in the rear, sort of "shifting the load".  Friend of mine said if you are two high, then the load is on the rear tandem axel, too low
and it's all on the front tandem, you have to watch, also he said a little extra on the front doesn't hurt as it makes the back axel a "floater" so to speak.

But surely the intercooler will kick in as soon at the magneto overload send it signal to the back transmission sprocket.  But I do agree that a little extra on the front does not hurt!!!!!!:icon_confused:

Reflecting on recent events here, and from reading thread posts for several months now. It strikes me that far too many of the guy's here jump into the love/marriage thing far too easily.
We all know that this can lead to disastrous results when they find out the hard way, that the basis of their relationship was founded on the weakest of foundations!!!

I keep seeing the words banded about for ''taking leaps of faith''. ....Hmmmm!! i'm not sure i'd want to base my future, and a marriage on a leap of faith. I'd want a lot firmer foundation than that, to base the rest of my life on.....

I just don't know, ...Just seems that lately, these declarations of love and plans of marriage based on minimal actual contact, and only slightly more in the form of communication is becoming all to common...

I just wonder, how many of these leap of faith marriages will last past the 3 year mark!!! ...Lets face it, you never know that person until you live with them.
It's a shame our western governments don't make it easy for us to bring our ladies back to our countries for visits, ...that would go a long way, to help find out if your relationship is on the right track and more importantly, ...really compatible together!!

This is just my thoughts and observations on recent events....

I agree with everything you said earlier but this last point will bring us back to the illegal immigration points again.   It will make thing wide open for that and then when the clamp down came, as it would when the numbers got so high, then it would make it more difficult for others.

Yep !!

Good and relevant points.........

If you recall, we were deeply involved in the debate about love/lust/EMF contact about 6 months ago when I first came here. There was a lot of discussion about the danger of falling in love with an internet or an EMF image.

I think maybe we have a whole new set of Bros since that time who may or may not have read the extensive debate on the subject.

Whatever...the probability of such a "love"  being a lasting and joyful committment for life is very low...and all should tread carefully....these sort of mistakes are life changing and in a lot of cases are life threatening !!!!

It is interesting to note that the Aussie Immigration Dept. (which is sooooo tough) has a provision for a FIANCE to be granted a 3 month tourist visa at the time the fiance visa application is lodged. It is for the purpose of exactly what David5O describes...a "get to know you and your environment" process.

If during this 3 months together, the relationship crashes, then she goes home, you move on and the Fiance application gets abandoned. Only small problem is that you lose the $1800 you paid to lodge the visa application !!!

Governments cant lose can they ?

The United States is the same as Australia. With the fiancee visa. You have 90 days.AfterThe lady arrives in the states to get married. If the lady does not get married withen the 90 days. Her visa will expire. And she will be deported.

With the cost of the lawyer and the filling fees. For the paper work.Along with the fee.For the heailth Check. It can run well over 2,500 U.S.D.Along with 1,000 for the plane ticket. And another 1,000 to adjust the ladies status. If she does get married in the states.

There is a subtle difference in the Aussie method.....

When you lodge a Fiance visa application it takes around 9 months before she can come to Australia and from her time of arrival we have 9 months to conclude a marriage.

The Lady can, however, come to Australia when the fiance application is lodged. She can automatically qualify for a Tourist visa which would never be granted to a single woman who just wanted to come and spend some time with her Man friend before deciding to apply for a visa.

The fiance visa is the best option I think.  Peggy and I have been talking a little over 6 months, I will see her in 5 days for 10 days.  Is that enough? No. I will more than likely ask her to marry me but I know we still have a year. We will apply for a fiance visa at that point. I hope to spend a month with her in July; more get to know time.  The wait time for the visa is 8-16 months.  She will come here and see IF she can stay here with me and be happy.  If all is good we will marry close to the end of the 90 day visa.

David50 you are absolutely correct in your assumption.  New guys, listen to what is said here.  Use the right head when you think about this.  Would I like a woman lying next to me at night, right now, last week, month and year?  Absolutely, but not at the expense of huge difficulties when we really get to know each other.

Take time to get to know the woman you are so enamored with.  She wants to marry now but you are the one in control of what happens to you.  Choose wisely.

Shaun, the USA wait time varies hugely it seems.
One of Sunny's friends met a guy on chnlove  from Minnesota (probably spelled incorrectly) in America and she had her fiancĂ©e visa in six months. While i was there in fact, we met her after the interview and i helped her with a couple of papers before it - she wasn't sure of the translations (a couple of her answers were in fact incorrect  - she had answered n/a to several yes/no questions, and signed a place that asked for her signature which needed to be witnessed by the interviewer  - it said above do not write below this line).
Maybe the more populous states will have more applications and thus more wait time?
Become the change you want today, or all your tomorrows will be like yesterday.

.

As to my earlier statement for our governments making the process easier for our ladies to visit us men in our own countries. As David E stated quite correctly, our governments make quite sure that they ''Never'' lose out, either in monetary terms, or in it's visa regulations. So why do they make such a song and dance about Fiancee visa's or tourist visa's for our women??

Let's face it, You are the person held responsible for all financial matters and costs, along with the other stipulations pertaining to her fiance visa. You are also responsible for her not overstaying the date stamped on her fiance/tourist visa.

Willy,

There are simple safeguards that could be implemented to minimise the scammers that are out to abuse the system and make money from it.  One such stipulation could be,  that the applicant ''Must have been born in the country'' ''hold a Full Citizen passport of that country'' etc, etc.... All other applicants would be subject to what's in place now.....
It just takes a little ''Will'' and they could stop the majority of immigration abuse!!  It's probably all down to this ''politically correct'' crap that gets in the way as usual these days!!

Shaun,

From what i've been reading lately, it's not so much the women wanting to get married Now, but the men!!!  It's got to the point in some cases, where there talking and planning marriage way before they have even met these ladies, some haven't even communicated via webcam!!
These guy's are in my mind, are taking a huge ''leap of faith'' ....i only hope there is solid ground for them to land on, after taking that huge leap!!!

Irishman.

absolutely correct the wait times vary on were you fall in the pecking order. my first was completed
in 8 moths to the day when she finally arrived in the USA, so a lot of patience is in order for the process.

David,

i disagree as i think the women do want the marriage to take place now but some are a little more reserved
in wanting to get to know you better before hand. i do agree that the men who talk marriage before even web-
camming is quite a good way to set up dissapointmet in the end. web cam and visit first is the best way.
